HPV related -what do you make of this?

So I was browsing and encountered an online post. Basically, this individual is saying that he got his first warts after 7 years of marriage. The problem is, many are saying that having HPV is not an indicator of infidelity since is can lay dormant for several years, even decades, before appearing for the first time. Some are saying that after such years, it might be possible that this infection is recent, hence someone cheated.

My question is whether is it possible for HPV to lay dormant for so many years and then you get warts?

It is possible, but not likely. I've answered this for you before.

90% of people clear the virus within 2 years. That means 10% don't. We don't know why, but if HPV is the only reason to consider infidelity, it's not enough to conclusively prove that.

I don't know if you've gotten the HPV vaccine, but since you are so worried about HPV, you should.
