How long am i contagious?

Hi,

I gave unprotected oral to another male for few minutes. I felt some pre-cum and i always spit without swallowing anything. I don’t usually let any one touches my penis except my wife as i thought it might be safer this way.

The next day i had a full intercourse with my wife with deep kissing, unprotected oral and vaginal. In case i got infected with any of the std, will i transmit it to my wife the next day?

After three days from the unprotected oral intercourse  with the male partner, i had a bad sore throat with swollen lymph node, the doctor prescribed for me Augmentin 1G for 5 days. Symptoms resolved now but started again after i had sex with my wife couple of weeks later with some genital itching and urine dripping feeling.

I have done a complete STD panel testing on day 12 from the exposure including hiv RNA which came back all negative. But i am still worried that my wife may have caught a bacteria and now re-infecting me again. She had a sore throat as well next day after giving me oral.

Should i be concerned? Should i test again? Am i contagious after one day of contracting STD?

Thank you,

You gave unprotected oral. That's not a no risk activity but not statistically high either. Sore throat and swollen lymph node three days later is not indicative of an std. You 'could' get chlamydia or gonorrhea giving someone oral but it's much more likely you had a regular common virus. However, you have a wife and your outside the marriage activity puts her at risk every time you do it unprotected. So, you should wear condoms with her even if you have to explain it and can get tested. You can test for gonorrhea after a few days and chlamydia after 3 weeks. That's a general time line, check with your doctor/clinic.

HIV test was completely unnecessary. You had zero risk for HIV.

At 12 days, you really only need to rule out chlamydia at 3 weeks and that's it.
It's cold and flu season.

Wear condoms since you are married when you cheat to protect your wife.
