Trichomoniasis and fungal infection

I will put my problem in point form and hope that you all be able to follow.

January 2011- My wife was found to have trich during her regular pap smear.
We were both given metronidazole and abstained from sex during treatment and seven days after.

June 2011- Same infection found again in my wife. She was given metronidazole and i was given norfloxacin (sp)

February 2012- Same infection, same treatment again as in June 2011.

January 2013_ Same infection again. We were now both given metronidazole and waiting for results.

Questions
1. What could be the source of this reinfection if we were abstaining during treatment
2. Is norfloxacin a standard treatment for trich or i was given the wrong treatment

Again recently i developed what i think is a yeast infection. after being away for a month, i had sex with my wife when she came back and the next day my penis foreskin was inflamed, with a white coating on the head and a red rash. My wife was given tablets to insert in the vagina and i bought miconazole 2%. now its 14 days of using it, symptoms are 98% gone but i sometimes have occasional itching and tinkling inside the penis. this happens only two or three times a day. what could this be, is it normal to have before the infection clears away completely. Penis skin back to normal except on eor two visible rash on it. are these remaining rash going to clear or its a sign that the infection is still there.

Please help, iam desperate.

you were given flagyl / metronidazole originally which should've taken care of things.  norfloxacin isn't effective for trich so I'm not sure why you were given that as follow up.  Honestly I think the whole point is probably moot and your wife doesn't even have trich.

Me i only have had one sexual partner that was before i get married, and after that i have been with my wife. As asked earlier, is norfloxacin the drug for treating trich or i was being given the wrong treatment

is it likely you guys are passing trich  back and forth even after treatment like this? no it is not. false positives on trich testing can occur and unless once of you has had other partners, I'd assume this was the case in your relationship. http://www.medhelp.org/posts/STDs/Trichomoniasis/show/1119263  is a prior post from the std experts forum that explains decently about the false positives and why they occur.

can you two share a genital yeast infection? You can .  abstaining from sex while you both treat the yeast should clear it up though not unusual to come back either :(
