Syphilis Question

Hi - so I had an encounter approx. 8 months ago where I received unprotected oral. I just recently noticed an unusual lesion of sorts at the base of my penis. The doctor said he didn't know for sure - didn't look for sure like a wart but wasn't sure. He ended up freezing it. I asked if it could be syphilis and he said it did not look like syphilis.
So I also did a full test and waiting the results. So will the test for conclusive when it comes - meaning if I do not have it I will not have to worry about it potentially showing up after this from this incident?
Also - if that was a wart that he freezed - do I need to worry about it self spreading from touching other areas of my penis? Will I now be dealing with numerous warts showing up over time from the one spreading itself on other areas of my genital?
Thanks very much
