Strep Viridanis

I have been diagnosed with Strep Viridanis.
I had a semen culture done and it was returned as positive with a light colonization.
All other tests, 2 blood, 6 urine, 1 urine culture, 4 swabs are neg for all STDs, Bacteria...however, 2 swabs were contaminated with Staph.

On a scale of 1-10 its about a .5 for discomfort.

3 questions i would like help with.

1. Is this contagious? Does my wife need to be tested or treated? She has no symptoms
2. Are there any problems for having a baby?
3. How long should treatement be for prostititis? What's the prognosis?

Oh and if you have staph, your wife should be treated because of that as well.

Your wife should be tested and treated, just in case.

This is a bacteria that can be part of normal mouth bacteria, but if you have it genitally, your wife might too, and she should be treated if you all are trying to have a baby.
