Allergic reaction or Herpes?!?! Please HELP

Hi I recently got a brazilian wax and the next day I had a raw, swollen place where they had half waxed/didn't! When she waxed the wax felt hot and I felt it run down to the place that I am have the problem with. Anyways I had wax left on long hairs all day (I got waxed in the morning) I went shopping, walking with wax pulling on these hairs and sweating all day in really tight Jeans (I could feel it pulling and I would have to readjust jeans/panties).
Well that bothered me but not bad but I kept rubbing it all day and the next. I didn't take a shower that night because I took a shower that morning and was headed to the lake the next morning all day. Well I noticed later the next day the rawness and the sore that was forming after I had gotten off the lake. This is after I had kept rubbing it for a day and a half. I have been putting antibotic ointment on it followed by baby powder to keep it dry and it seems to be healing. It has only been a day and a half since I noticed it.

I am scared of what this might be. It really only hurts when my jeans rub against it. It doesn't hurt when urine passes over it or water. I got an STD test (blood work) 5 months ago and every six months before this for the past 4 years. All were NEG. In the HSV1 and HSV2 NEG too. I have been with the same man for the past 2 years. I know he hasn't cheated on me. He has been checked and is NEG as well. Could this be a reaction from the irratation of the
wax that was left on for a long period of time.on the partial hairs. Because this took effect less than 24-48 hours later of the wax. With no prior soreness there before the wax. I am freaking out!!!! Or could it be a burn?

I had a very similar experience to anonperson.  I am curious if you were tested for STDs after the fact and what the results were?

I have been getting brazilian waxes for over a year from the same salon but the last time I had a few loose stools after my brazilian, which as you can imagine, was quite painful.  About 12 hours later I had intercourse (5 times) so there was a lot of friction.  This was the second time being intimate with this new partner, the first being one week earlier.  I was very sore and noticed 3 red bumps on the outside of my labia where my panty line rubs, 3 others on the left side of my anus and 3 others on the right.  They were spaced apart (not clustered) and looked like the usual red irritation bumps I get after waxing which subside after a few days so I was not worried.  Thinking nothing of it I went to the gym and there was also a lot of sweating and clothes rubbing.  However, the next day (2 days after the wax and 1 day after our 2nd intercourse) I had so much pain in my anus area I could not sit down.  I hardly slept at all that night I was in so much pain.  I figured maybe Preparation H would help soothe but it just burned worse so then I applied Burts Bees powder to hopefully dry it up and that too burned horribly.  The next day I noticed my left groin lymph node was swollen, which lasted about 8 days.  While my lymph node was swollen all of the red bumps went away except a sore in between my vagina and anus, which just looked like an irritated red sore that was very sensitive to the touch but did not burn when I urinated.  I would also like to note there was never any itching during any of this.  Meanwhile, I had started a new pack of birth control pills after being off for 9 months so during this time I started spotting but did not wear a tampon because I was afraid of getting TSS.  So, the spotting would drain onto the sore and I think it just kept it irritated.  After 4 days of this I decided to go the OBGYN to get tested for STDs.  I have only had 3 partners in my lifetime but I have never been checked aside from my annual pap, which does not test for most STDs.  I have never had any symptoms of anything whatsoever.  My current and most recent partner is checked for STDs annually and has always tested negative for everything (at least so he says).  I have never noticed anything STD-suspicious on him or his mouth.  But, I was still showing a lot of symptoms of HSV, including the proper incubation period of initial infection, but no itching nor anything that looked like the HSV photos I could find online.

Unfortunately, the OBGYN confirmed I tested positive for HSV in an IgM antibody test (recent acute exposure to HSV).  I tested HSV negative for the culture of the sore, negative for IgG antibodies (long term exposure to HSV) and negative for all other STDs.  The IgM test could not detect whether I have HSV-1 (oral) or HSV-2 (genital).  After reading many posts about herpes testing, a lot of people say the IgM test is highly inaccurate so I called my OBGYN nurse to get more details about my lab results.  This time she said I tested "high" for IgG (long term antibodies), which was confusing, so I asked to see the lab results and now I am more confused than ever.  It appears there were 2 IgG tests conducted, one of which (type specific Ab) tested negative and the other (type specific Rflx I/II) tested a 14.4, which I think is the "high' result but I am not sure?  The IgM test says the normal reference range is <1:10 and I tested 1:10 so I guess I tested equal to the reference range but still positive?  Anyway, the laboratory is supposed to call me to review my results with me because I do not trust my nurse practitioner's interpretation of the results and I am weary of the IgM test inaccuracy.  And, of course, I am in denial of having an STD.

I am curious whether anonperson was tested afterwards for any STDs (including HSV) and the results, if you are willing to share?

She could have been, but I'd believe her for now.  Just keep an eye on it, and if it comes back, get in to see them as soon as possible.

Ok I now have a scar where the sore was. But now it is itching and tingling- i think to much nerves for about a day now-- so this is making me really nervous! I went to the doctor when it was still a sore and she said it looked more like a burn too from the wax- so of course I went with this. Could she have been wrong?

Then find a Planned Parenthood or free clinic near you.

And I don't think you are overreacting - I'd be all over the place if I had burned my vagina.

Ohhhh no hydrogen peroxide.  You are only drying it out more, and hydrogen peroxide kills off good stuff.

I'd get it checked by your doctor.  You might need a prescription cream to heal it if its a burn.

Maybe I am just over reacting!!! Would should I use to clear up the sore? I have been using Hydrogen Perioxide but it seems to iratate it more. Now my gland on the same side is swollen and mildly tender. I think it is do the trauma in the area.. What to do you think?

I'd say its a reaction to having the wax left on for so long.  Its either an allergy, irritation or maybe even a burn.

It wouldn't hurt to get it checked by your doc.
