Weird one...sorry

Hi,

6 days ago I gave an escort unprotected (vaginal) Oral sex for about 10 seconds.

Since then she told.me she has chlamydia (don't ask me how) as she is unsure of anything else she MAY or MAY not have.

So , I today have started to take the recommended dose of twice daily for 7 days 100mg doxy.

Question is this...what are the chances of other risks such as syphilis and gon? I do have the option of taking the same current treatment I'm on for annother 7 days which is the recommended cure for syphilis...Is it worth it to ay safe?

How and when should I test for Gon so I'm sure that I don't have it?

Sorry if this is a difficult one and I thank you in advance.

Well, since you started taking the doxy, it's going to delay your testing times by a few weeks, since that could give you false negatives.

It would be very unlikely to get oral chlamydia from giving oral to a vagina, especially for 10 seconds, and if you've only taken one dose, I'd tell you to stop taking that unless your doctor told you to take it.

If you took one dose, it won't affect testing.

At about 5 days, you can get oral swabs for chlamydia and gonorrhea, but depending on how much doxy you took, maybe add a few days to that.

You can take a syphilis test at 6 weeks. The chances you got syphilis are less than chlamydia, probably, as it's uncommon in most developed countries.

I wouldn't recommend taking antibiotics you don't need. That's how resistance happens. Then when you actually need the meds, they might not work.

Thank you.

So to summarise...please correct if wrong...

As I have taken only a single dose of doxy 100mg as started today...maybe I should hold fire, test let's say this Friday 8 days after exposure 2qit and see the results for chlamydia and gon.

If positive for chlamydia take my medication minus the one 100mg tab.

Seems like I could just take the full course plus the extra for syphilis and then there's no worries at all just on the off...then if I test pos for gon i can get treatment for that down the road...

Yes, you could just take the full course, but then you are taking antibiotics you do not need, creating resistance and possibly experiencing side effects you don't need to suffer through.

There is very little chance you got anything from 10 seconds of oral sex on a vagina. Oral sex on a vagina poses very little risk.
