any other way to get this?

just back from gynecologist (in central asia). i have yeast infection, plus she says gonorrhea... she then reassured me that it wasn't "always" an STD, and the bacteria are always present in the flora, and with my yeast infection, the gonorrhea multiplied, making an infection.

however, i am married, monogomous, and know my hubby is going to say he has been as well (9years). but about 2 months ago, he had some sore in or rather near his intimate area (!), and well, what's up with that?!?!

so, before I freak out at my husband, and our marriage gets stressed, can someone please share if what the gynecologist was saying is true? my husband was with one other woman, the year previous to our marriage... the first year of our marriage, they found chlamydia... we were treated, and the doc didn't find that, so that's good.

please help, advise, etc. (so far, i've no where seen that gonorrhea can just hang out, but that it is only an std...:(  )
(i have pain in my ureter all the time, but the urologist diagnosed me with interstitial cystitis... or is it?!?!)

please respond soon! (hubby home in a few hours! ha ha).

whew... NOT gonorrhea... rather, a slip of the tongue (and a foreign language)... it's gardanella (bacterial vaginosis)...  the nurse (the doctor didn't even see me, just passed the info on), kept saying gonorrhea, and I asked if that's what she said, and she would nod and go on talking... but the actual test results say: no gonorrhea or trich!
anyway, the next line has (in russian): g~~~~ four letters, hardly legible, and near the end what looks like an L.  (very messy writing, must be a doc, eh?).

whew. gardanella makes total sense with what the nurse was explaining (not an std, happens when flora gets imbalanced, etc). i am so relieved.

of course, already shared the first news with hubby, so we had a bit of hashing out, but like i said, i know i'm monogomous, and wow, well so sure hubby is, so we survived!:)
(i was leaning toward a false positive, actually, but for whatever sore hubby had last month).

hmmm. maybe he'll get that checked out anyway! heh.

so, thanks, but me thinks this case is solved!:)  It's totally NOT FAIR tho, that we had to stress...  stupid nurse!
