I had molluscum. The best way to get rid of it is to apply tea-tree oil twice a day with a cue-tip and then dot on a tiny bit of clear nail polish on them. If you can even cover them with a band-aid, this helps too. Warning- they will most likely double in size and get very inflammed. This is good though- because it means they are healing. Don't scratch or shave. Or towel dry- air dry the area or blow dry- they like moist areas. I did this for a month and they went away. It was worth the irritation- dried them out.

If its molluscum, you could spread it by shaving.

You really need to follow up with your doctor.  This could be molluscum, might be folliculitis (which shaving will further irritate), etc.

I currently just shaved it too. Will that affect anything?

I don't know if you have HIV/AIDS, but these symptoms aren't from that.

It might be molluscum again, or maybe genital warts.  You should see your doctor to find out.
