When should I go to STD test

I had condom sex with a sex worker 10 days ago. I am suspecting myself having some STDs, though symptoms are not present at this moment (except I have a minor swollen groin lymph, sounds dangerous).
I heard that herpes can incubate for years, and syphilis too, not to mention HIV. Both of them are incurable, scare me a hell.
Could you plz tell me HOW LONG AFTER EXPOSURE should I go to test to have a reliable result, for most of the STDs?

See a Dr for your lymph swelling. HIV question post in the HIV forum and they can set you straight.

Thanks Jessy. I ruled out myself gonorhea and chlamydia because I haven't any symptom, temporarily rule out HIV but wait to see suspected symptoms. Do you know what causes a groin lymph? I had a bruise (left by physical injury in an accident) on right leg, may be the cause of right groin lymph swell?

Hello.

You were never at risk for HIV and a couple other ones.

As far as syphilis and herpes, don't worry about them.  Its pretty hard to get them from what you describe.   Syphilis is curable.

For someone that did have a risk exposure  (you did not) we would recommend a syphilis test at 6 weeks after the sex encounter, and a herpes and HIV test at 3 months.   Again, you abusayd, don't need any testing.
