Anxiety or STD?

I am in a long term relationship, several years. My girlfriend has been away for a few weeks.2 weeks ago I received protected oral sex from a sex worker. No intercourse.I gave unprotected oral sex to her.She masturbated me by hand without condom & used baby oil& lube. The whole thing was out of character for me and I have been regretting this stupid mistake since.  The next day I had a tingling/itching around my testicles and inner thighs. I could feel a slightly different sensation in the end of my penis when passing Urine which came and went, more of a tickle than pain. The tingling around my testicles and inner things continues. I went for an STD screen a couple of days later. They tested for Hep B&C, HIV, HSV2, Syphilis, Gonorrhea & Chlamydia by urine/blood. All negative. I went back to see the same doctor 2 days after the result as I was concerned with a couple of marks on my testicles (although these could have been old) and they were still tingling. The doctor told me that I was clear and it was probably just in my head. He recomended using some Bisocreen wash/protective cream for my genital area. I then went to another clinic where they took blood, urine&swap a couple of days ago. I get these results on Sunday and have an appointment to see the urologist then.

It has now been 2 weeks and the tingling and sometimes a slightly burning/itching on my inner things/testicles is still there. I haven't been sleeping/eating properly. I have now also developed a slight sore throat, running nose and today, after taking part in a sporting event, had diarrhea. My temperature is also slightly raised. I have no rash on my thighs or testicles that I can see. I have today also noticed some white residue and bit similar to dandruff on my pubic hairs. What could this be? My girlfriend returns tomorrow-results day. I don't want to put her at risk, but also don't really want to tell her. What are the chances I have an STD?Thanks

You are  playing games and I will not do that.  you listed a huge number of tests. Do you really think I would look at only 1?

You need to move on and address your fears and anxiety, not continue your ill-advised pursuit of STIs that are not there.

This thread is now over. EWH

Just wondering, what test did you ask for that included all of the above? Most places only test for a few if the most common stds.

Your tests prove that an STI is not present. Thus, not only are your symptoms incompatible with STI but so are your test results.  it is time for you to accept that this is not an STI.  EWH

Thanks for the response Dr. EWH,

Just to update, several weeks have passed and the tingling/itching has mostly gone but my anxiety remains. I started getting a dull pain in my testicles and this anxiety caused me to get tested again - now 3 weeks after exposure. The test included blood, urine and swap from both the uretha and the throat. My results were:
HIV I & II Antibody + HIV 1 p24 Ag = Neg(0.164)
Hep B Surface Antigen = Neg(0.546)
Hep C Virus Antibody (HCV) = Neg(0.086)
RPR = Non Reactive
Herpes Simplex Virus 2 IgG Ab = Neg(<0.5)

Urine:
Mucus Threads Nil Hpf Nil
Yeast Cells Nil Hpf Nil
Bacteria Nil Hpf Nil
Others Nil Hpf Nil

Swab (throat and penis) by PCR including:
Neisseria Gonorrhea
Chlamidya Trachomatis
Ureaplasma Urealyticum
Mycoplasma Hominis
Mycoplasma Genitalium
Tricomonas Vaginalis
ALL Not Deteced

Genital Culture Swab/Urine
Myco. Hom.,Ticho. Vag., Yeast, Gardnerella Vaginalis, Nes. Gonorrhea, Proteus spp., Staphylococcus aureus, Ureaplasma urealyticum, Escherichia coli/klebsiella, Entercoccus faecalis, Candida spp., streptococcus agalacitae, psuedomonas spp.
ALL Negative, no growth after 48 hours incubation

Urine Analysis -Microscopic Examination
Pus Cells 3 cells/cumm
Red Cells 2 cells/cumm
Casts - Nil
Crystals - Nil

The dull pain in my testicles comes and goes, and can be pretty painful at times. I can feel a discharge sensation in the tip of penis very often, but no real evidence of any discharge. There is no burning during/after urination/ejaculation, however maybe a slight itch at the tip of the penis. I have had general flu like symptoms including sore throat on and off. Can this all really be just hightened sensation? Given the testicular pain would you advise a re test and after what time period? Thanks again

Welcome to the Forum.  I'll be pleased to comment.  The events that you describe were relatively low risk for acquisition of any STI, including HIV.  You did the right thing to explore your symptoms by getting tested.  Your tests prove that you do not have any of the STIs that you describe (although some of the infections such as syphilis may not be positive at this time).

Further, the symptoms you describe are not suggestive of any STI. STIs do not cause symptoms that come and go. Further, there are no STIs which cause symptoms such as tingling and itching.  Rather such symptoms are more typically related to the perception of normal sensations which are detected as a result of increased attention to the possibility of symptoms.

Thus to summarize, the is little reason to worry that you have an STI.  My advice is to not worry and to move forward.  EWH
