Anything to worry about?

I am a male and on March 2 I visited an Asian massage parlor and received oral sex for about 30 seconds from a woman. She then finished me with her hand. I have shown no symptoms of an STD since then or before, but am a bit of a hypocondriact. Do I have anything to worry about? When would symptoms of an STD from such contact appear?

Thanks for the help and all of the advice.

The answer to questions 1 and 2 is yes.  The answer to question 3 is that you shouldn't be looking for any symptoms "intently".  As a rule, if the symptom isn't obvious, it isn't there.  If your obsession with the zero risk is as bad as you imply, i.e. it is significantly affecting your life, you likely would benefit from seeing  a mental health professional.

One last post.
I am a severe hypocondriact at times. I want to get clear my risks from my exposure. The only things I have to worry about are NGU, gonn. and herpes, right? Those symptoms should show within 10 days or before right? What are those symptoms I should be looking for intently? I am obsessed and anything I feel down there upsets me at this point. Thanks for your help.

Doctor,
Do I have to worry about sores and discharge anywhere on my body or just my penis, which is the only part to come in contact?

No, only the point of contact.

The risk is from fellatio, of course, not manual contact.  But the risk of STD tranmission by oral sex is very low.  If you have no symptoms (sores, discharge, etc) after 10 days, you can consider yourself home free.  See many other posts and my responses in this forum for more detail about the risks (i.e., the lack thereof).

Best wishes--  HHH, MD
