Blood Tests

Dear Doctors,
In August I had brief hand to genital contact and took several blood test around the 8 week mark which were all negative.
I am unsure if I touched my genitals so decided to take the following tests:
10 1/2 weeks after exposure Herpeselect
.016
.03

11 1/2 weeks
HIV negative
Syphilis Negative
Herpeselect
0.02
.002

12 weeks 5 days
HIV Negative
Syphilis Negative
Herpeselect
.017
.003

13 Weeks 5 days
Herpeselect
.36
.006

Based upon the results and the time frame should I continue to test?
How confident can I be that I did not get infected?

Thank you

Dear Dr Hook
I just received my CMV results which came back positive IGG and IGM however 9 months ago It was only IGG positive.
I have no compromised immune system so what could be the cause?
Both Dr Handsfield and yourself thought I was over reacting regarding genital Herpes and I hope I still am.
Any ideas on why my igm is now positive?
Thank you so much for time on this matter

No, there is no reason to think that you hip/sciatic nerve pain is due to herpes.  EWH

Dear Doctor,
Last question.
I had a pain in the left hip for about a week and it has now moved to my sciatic nerve for a few days.
Should I be concerned that this could be Herpes?
Thanks

Last answer.  Your pseudonym provides a clue to what is going on- you are over projecting. Your wife's difficulties are not a consequence of your infidelity.  You are over analyzing and attributing coincidental events to possible STDs.  Ypou need to address your guilt.  Your wife's lesions are not STDs from your extra-marital encounter.   EWH

Dear Doctor,
I am at a loss what to think.
Ever since my wife had that pimple on her pubic area she has sufferd from hip and upper back pain.
She took 2 month depot lupron 2 months ago that give her headaches and an aching feeling.
We are trying to have children and am hoping that my indescretion has not ruined this opportunity.
I retook the herpesselect test at 16.3 weeks and it was .16 and .04 respectively.
I haven't slept for worrying about this.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

You are over reacting.  You need to move forward, not be so hung up on the past.  EWH

Dear Dr
I had sex with my wife 3 days ago and now she has a pimple on her pubic area
I am petrified that this might be herpes, I noticed 2 small pimples near the crease of my thigh but thought nothing of it until now.
Am I just overacting or could there be more to this? I am hoping that I can put this behind me as I have not told my wife of my stupid indiscretion 16 weeks ago and I cannot get it out of my mind.
Thank you

Dear Doctor,
Just like many on here I too am anxious and do not want to infect my wife with Herpes.
How conclusive were my negative herpes tests at 13 weeks and 5 days with my kind of exposure.
Thanks again.

Welcome to the Forum. STDs are rarely transmitted by hand to genital contact and HIV never is.  Your tests prove this.  Your testing shows:

1.  You do not have HIV- no further testing is needed.
2.  You do not have syphilis, no further testing is needed.
3. In the absence of an outbreak following your exposure, there is no evidence that you have herpes and no further testing is needed.

Personally I would not have even recommended testing for the exposure you describe but since you have been tested, you now have proof that you did not get any of the STDs including HIV that you tested for.  Further testing is not needed and would be a waste of time and money.  EWH
