What condition do these symptoms point to?

A close male confidant of mine has informed me of the following symptoms that are undoubtedly indicative of an STD - the question is which one? I know that without a test, nothing is diagnosable, but what do these symptoms point to? Can you give me a short-list of probable STD candidates?

- A single, medium-sized chancre sore that appears on the thighs about once a month (never around genitals)
- Infrequent hematuria and slight burning sensation in urethra during urination and ejaculation
- Shaft and head of penis is slightly warmer than usual and at all times
- Unusual odor wafting up from genitals
- Several tiny, almost microscopic bumps on head of penis
- Clear, odorless discharge from penis 5-10 minutes after ejaculation (postcum)

Is odor caused by an STD exclusive to bacterial infections, or can viruses cause foul odor as well?
Thank you, and please speculate as much as possible. Please tell me there is a cure for my friend...
Much obliged.

I understand, although there is no question that these symptoms are indeed due to an STD. Again the question is which one? As you note, the only way to know for sure is to get tested, given that it is impossible to offer a diagnosis via the internet. I just figured that you would be able to narrow the 'candidates' so to speak, or perhaps suggest a likely disease that you knew to be consistent with the aforementioned symptoms. Thank you nonetheless.

Re-read my closing comment above "But even then, no online expert can make a definite diagnosis.  No matter what else happens, he needs personal health care to get the answers."  Anyway, once it is clear a problem isn't due to STD, this forum doesn't go any farther.

I won't have any more comments.

If you're not actually talking about yourself, it would be best if your "confidant" posed the questions.  It's hard enough to be sure of accurate descriptions when people tell their own stories.

The word "chancre" means a syphilitic lesion, but that's probalby not what you mean.  No STD is likely to cause such a problem, although conceivably it could be herpes--but impossible to guess further without more detailed description.

As for the other symptoms, no STD typically causes such symptoms.  "Small bumps" conceivably could be warts, but as for the thigh lesion, more detail is required to speculate.

No STD causes odor. The only exception is bacterial vaginosis (not actually an STD) and trichomoniasis in women, but in those cases the issue isn't the sexually transmitted nature of the problem, but has to do with normal bacteria growing to abnormal levels in the vagina.

Your "friend" needs to see a health care provider.  If he wants to come on line and add more detail about some of his symptoms, we might be able to make a somewhat more educated guess.  But even then, no online expert can make a definite diagnosis.  No matter what else happens, he needs personal health care to get the answers.
