Chronic and contagious symptoms

A month after having unprotected oral ex with a guy who ejaculated in my mouth (my first ever sexual contact)
I developed painful sores in my mouth and extreme fatigue and exhaustion. For over five years, I have suffered with chronic exhaustion, occasional mouth sores, general body aches, occassional rashes, frequent sore throat, upset stomach, weakness, general ill feeling and headaches that come and go.

Contagious issues:

Since my unprotected sex encounter, I have open mouth kissed (shared saliva) with people that I have dated and each person has mentioned to me (after kissing me) of "feeling exhausted all of a sudden" a having a sore throat, stomach virus/flu like symptoms, bad headache and/or just "not feeling quite right"  varying from person to person.

In the recent year, anyone that i casually come into contact with, complains of feeling unexplainably tired, sudden headaches and/or a scratchy/sore throat. (I have never been told by anyone that I made them feel this way but I notice a pattern of them getting sick EVERY TIME after they kissed me and/or in close contact with me.

Testing:

During the past years, I have been tested NEGATIVE for the following: HIV, HSV 1/2, Cytomegalovirus, Epstein Barr Virus, Mono, HPV, Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Syphilis, Strep throat, normal thyroid,
(due to testing with a positive ANA, ANA pattern: homogeneous, high ANA Quantative result, I was tested for Lupus but that came back negative)

Doctors/Specialits tell me nothing is wrong with me, labs are normal beside high ANA but I don't understand what can be causing me to feel so tired and contagious to others. Please help me, it's ruining my life. I want to protect
myself and others.

Particularly for persons with chronic, difficult to categorize health problems, the choice of what doctor to follow-up with is sometimes difficult and often requires some trial and error to identify one who takes you seriously.  It is worth the effort however.  I wish you well. EWH

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my post. I have had a thorough examination/evaluation by a Rheumatologist, ID specialist, Neurologist and many general medicine doctors over these years.

Because, doctors have been unable to pinpoint why I'm experiencing these symptoms, I do believe that it is something rare and undefinable at this time but it is defintely transferable (as from my experiences) Since, I was feeling fine before this encounter and then after this encounter i experience these issues ever since, I'm absolutely positive it was caused from this single first time sexual act.

I will take your advice and continue following up with a single health provider, although it's difficult for me to find one that is empathetic, patient and thorough.

Meanwhile, I will research diseases with high ANA.

Thanks again.

Welcome to our Forum.  I'll try to help.  From the evaluation that you describe, which sounds quite thorough, it is clear that, despite the fact that your current problem appears to have begun over performing oral sex on a a partner what is going on here in not an STI and is unlikely to be related to any STI acquired through your single oral sex encounter.

From what you say (and trying to do this on line is a poor substitute for being seen by a clinician who can carry out a full history and physical examination) the single clue so far to what might be going on with your is your high ANA.  The ANA test is high in a number of diseases and sometimes is positive even years before other manifestations of the cause become apparent.

In addition, I cannot think of any illness that you would repeatedly transfer to others which would cause the problems you describe.

Bottom line, I see no evidence that this is an STI, the topic dealt with on this forum.  My advice your be to seek the input of a rheumatologist.  In doing so, if there is no obvious cause after a thorough evaluation, it may be necessary to continue to follow you until what is causing your problems declares itself. This is best accomplished by continuing follow-up by a single health care provider over time.  EWH
