yes, I needed the hydrocodone, skin was coming off and it was very painful to sleep, move or even wear underwear.
they gave you a narcotic for a yeast infection? Dang I gotta start going to your doctor!
I went to the doctor today. He said that while I probably did have a Non-gonococcal urethritis the antibiotic doxycycline hyclate made conditions favorable for a yeast infection. We stopped the DH this morning and I am now on Fluconazole (for the yeast infection) and hydrocodone (for the pain). He said I should notice a change within 4-5 days. I have a 9 day supply. He said if it does not look better by Friday to come in. Change underwear twice a day. Ensure that I am thoroughly dry after I shower. He said that if I can stand it to use the monistat as well. We will see what happens.
we'll continue to discuss your situation in your own post you have going - thanks!
Just wondering my case is it the same as you (JGTX77). Sometime i will have a large amount of white or milky discharge but not always. Most of the time i notice that when i drink cold drinks or after masturbation might have the white discharge but i think that's normal. I wonder do i need to go to see a doctor or go for any tests?
It almost looks like candida. Since today is a holiday I have to wait until tomorrow for my dr to open. I will continue to take the DH and use the otc antifungal cream.
well if you didn't have a fungal infection before this, you probably do now from 2 antibiotics :(
if you are still having discharge by midweek, see an urologist.
Well he prescribed doxycycline hyclate and recommended an otc yeast infection cream. While I have been on the dh since Friday, I have not noticed a change but the itching did get more severe so I started using the yeast infection cream. Also the head of the penis got really red. I thought dh was for bacterial infections? If that's the case and this turns out to be a fungal infection then is it possible it won't have any effect on the issue and we are back at square one?
A yeast infection in males is typically in the form of a rash. it won't cause urethral discharge in a male.
An urologist is probably your best bet at this point for follow up.
has your bf had full std testing including anal swabbing?

Hi
Yes, a guy can have a yeast infection. Also what you decribe is consistent with non-chlamydial ngu.
