Fals Negative tests?

About 3 weeks ago I had a sensual massage where the maseuse gave me oral sex for about 30 seconds.  I noticed during the session that he seemed to have a cold.  Nothing else happenned, except he masturbated me to completion.  24 hours later, I had some burning/itching in my penis.  4 days later I took 1g of azithromyicin.   The next day I went to my doctor and got tested.  I was told the test was negative.  I began to ache somewhat in my lower abdomen and testes.  My symptoms went away in approx. 10 days.  I never had any discharge, but would feel like I did and when I squeezed my penis I could sometimes see that there was a substance there...but again, never had discharge.  I have had no sexual activity since then.  Within 4 more days, my symptoms re-appeared and got worse interms of a dull ache in my testes and again barely some substance when I squeeze my penis.  I called my doctor back and got re-tested, by urine for gonoreah and chlamydia...again both were negative.  I want to desperately believe I don't have an std, but now my girfriend has a very sore throat and cough.  She has no idea bout the massage I had weeks ago and we have NOT been intimate except for kissing...not even deep throat kissing.  I am so scared I gave her something.  What is wrong with me?  Could I have had 2 fasle negative std tests?  My MD says he will send me to a urologist if symptons don't go away in the next few days...meanwhile I am have anxiety attacks that I have infected my unknowing girlfriend.  I am so scared...

Gonorrhea and chlamydia are not transmitted by kissing.

No STD causes the sorts of symptoms you describe, and the contact was zero risk for all practical purposes. Further, any STD you could have acquired would have been effectively cured by the treatment you received.  Your STD tests are true and reliable.  You didn't give anything to your regular partner.  Sounds like she caught a cold; no STD causes sore throat and cough.

Your symptoms sound most like the male chronic pelvic pain syndrome, which is an anxiety-related phenomenon that used to be considered a form of prostatitis. You can find lots of information about it if you google "chronic pelvic pain syndrome".  Start with the Wikipedia article, which is an excellent summary.  (It's very common.  This is the third time today I have referred forum users to the same information.)

You can be sure you have no infection or anything else that can harm you or your sex partner.  You're fine except for the anxiety.

Good luck--  HHH, MD

Thanks very much for your comments.  I did read the article on CPPS in Wik.

Can you catch gonorreah or chlamydia mouth to mouth, exchanging saliva?

Thanks again.
