i have a reacurring cluster of bumps on the back of my thigh i think it my be herpes.
I ment that she did oral to a guy in our room then turned to me a second later on the same bed and gave me oral, in that time frame i was talking about.
Dr. will respond shortly, but based on what I know (I am not a medical practitioner) this is a very low (near zero) risk exposure for herpes.
It would require (1) the first man to have herpes (and probably with active sores), and (2) that the virus stayed alive long enough in the woman's mouth, and (3) that the virus then entered your penis through the urethra or a cut or abrasion on your penis. Even if the first man had herpes (25-50% of the population), peak shedding probably only occurs <10% of the time, so you're talking 2-5% chance MAX that any virus even made it to her mouth.
The chances of #2 or #3 happening are probably even smaller, which makes the total probability very near zero.
I didnt think the virus had to enter the urethra or a cut or abrasion on your penis to transmit the herpes virus I thought all that was needed was skin -to skin contact mainly muscous membrane skin like penis , vagina, etc.please correct me If i am wrong Doctor.
I suppose there is a theoretical possibility that a person's body cavity--vagina, mouth, rectum--could be contaminated with a previous partner's secretions, then passed to another person who has sex with the same person very recently. But no such STD transmission--herpes or anything else--has ever been known to occur.
People with HSV-1 who later catch genital HSV-2 tend to have less severe initial symptoms. Most experts believe there also is less chance of catching HSV-2, but that is not proved; and if it is true, the reduction in risk is small.
