Definitive results?

Dear Doctors,

My situation is I am from the U.K. studying in the U.S. in Florida - 3 months ago I was drunk with a friend who wanted to use a prostitue working from a motel so I let myself get pressured into getting Protected Oral sex from her - Stupid move...
The condom did not break,  although when she removed the condom after ejaculation she removed it with a tissue which she also used to wipe the tip of my penis and in doing so the base-ring of the condom momentarily came into contact with my penis glans. I am un-circumcised and have HSV-2.

As I am not mobile here and I couldn't find a std-specific clinic locally to test at so I had to use an online service and tested at a local LabCorp.

Tested for everything at 3.5 weeks - all Negative results bar HSV-2.
Went to a local doctor who said come back if you get symptoms.
Tested for Syphilis, Hep B and HIV at 9.5 weeks - Negative results.
Tested at 12 weeks/83-84 days post exposure for HIV and Hep B.  Thankfully negative again.

HIV tests were the standard antibody type.

1. Can I be completely confident in these negative results
2. Did I test at the right times
3. Can I put this bad experience completely behind me now

Thank you.

Thank you for those thoughts.  That of course is exactly why questions and answers are retained.  However, essentially the identical questions have been asked innumerable times on this forum.  Had you needed your own implicit advice to other forum users, i.e. scanned the existing threads and used the search link, you could have found the answers you needed and saved $15.00.  That's not a criticism -- just advice for others who read this thread.

I know you are concerned and that you believe there is good cause for worry. But there is not.  You did not need STD testing at all after such an event, and certainly so much of it!  Oral sex is inhrently low risk for all STDs -- not zero, but much lower than vaginal or anal intercourse.  With a condom, the risk is definitely zero.  And certainly the possible minor contact of secretions from the way the condom was removed, wiping, etc is meaningless.  You probably spent a pretty penny on all those unnecessary tests, including infections that are not transmitted by oral sex even WITHOUT a condom, like hep B and C.

So the direct answer to all three questions is a resounding yes.  All is well.

Regards--  HHH, MD

I would like to add that I hope this post will also be useful to others in a similar situation to mine - particularly to those trying to hold it together in a foreign country with the added stress of STD's on their minds.
