As several others responded before me (below), there is no risk of transmission of HIV or any other STD from the exposure you describe--even if moisture did contact your meatus through clothing. I recommend against testing for anything.
Good luck-- HHH, MD
You are 100% in the clear.....I'm not trying to be rude but maybe do a little more research before making a post.
this is my research- coming onto a forum and asking a physician a question. My question relates to whether vaginal secretions in contact with the urethral meatus poses any kind of risk in the absence of penetration. I looked through the site and didn't see an answer for that particular question. sorry, i'm just concerned and would like to hear from the physician-
Sorry aquickquestion, I really didn't want to come off as a jerk. If you want to find the answers to this question I am pretty sure many people have asked similar questions on this site. Search "HIV tranismisson risk" and read through a couple of posts. I am sure you will find some useful info there, GOOD LUCK!
There is a theoretical risk any time your penis comes into contact with vaginal secretions. However, Dr. HHH will tell you that the risk of vaginal SEX to a man is 1/1000 per episode. Since there was no penetration, your risk is much less than that. Get an HIV test after 6 weeks if it will make you feel better. You likely did not acquire hiv from this exposure.
You have no risk. Zero. I would not waste. Money on a test for that exposure. On the other hand, if you are sexually active and not monogomous I would get a standard STD test panel once a year. If you don't do this, you might want to think about it. Not because of the stripper deal, but it is just a good idea. But the stripper fun was no HIV risk.
honestly, i dont even know if there was contact between my urethral meatus and the secretions. probably not. but i can't be 100% sure. i would rather not get a test if i don't need one. i was wondering if i'm just blowing this out of proportion and should just forget about it-
You ask the same question as I did, I just got back from my GP and she told me the same thing, next to 0 chance of contracting anything, but have the tests to be sure
It is reassuring to hear it from the experts though
