What is this ?

Hi, recently during sex which was the first time Id had sex in 8 or 9 months ,I noticed a slight sticking sensation in the   head of my penis. The next day while showering I discovered 3 small black dots resembling blackheads near the opeining on my penis head. I tried mashing them to see if anything would come out but nothing did. Stupidly I took a pin and punctured one and blood squirted out....they are side by side in an almost straight line and are smooth, the only one that is raised at all is the one I punctured...it is a little red around it....now I can sometimes feel pressure in my penis head.... I dont know if this is because Im worried about it or not....could these be warts or something else...thanks

Hi doctor,  my physician said it was just broken capillaries and there was nothing to worry about. She said they may or may not ever go away but they werent harmful. Its a big relief to say the least and thanks for your answer, your comments were dead on target.Thank you again

Welcome to the STD forum.

This almost certainly is not an STD and equally certainly has nothing at all to do with your recent (or any other) sexual encounter.  Warts, herpes, etc do not look like this or behave this way.  Since blood "almost squirted", my best guess is that these are blood vessel-related, perhaps small hemangiomas (capillary "moles").  My guess about the "pressure" and "sticking" sensations is that they aren't anything at all, perhaps just more psychological attention to your penis because of the skin marks.

You should obviously stop manipulating the lesions and the get professionally evaluated.  Your primary care provider would be fine, or a dermatologist; or if cost is an issue, your local health department STD clinic should be low cost or free.  (This doesn't mean I really believe an STD is likely; I do not.  But for obvious reasons, STD clinicians are quite experienced with various non-STD genital skin problems.)

In the meantime, I wouldn't be at all worried. This doesn't sound like anything serious at all. Please return with a follow-up comment to let me know the diagnosis after you have been examined.

Regards--  HHH, MD
