Have I Got Discharge

by gworried, Nov 06, 2009 04:19AM
Hi Doctors,

I posted last month regarding frequent urination from an incident I had a year ago, which has now pretty much eased up.

I have started to notice a small amount of clear fluid at the end of penis usually in the morning, only when i squeeze my penis.  I thought this was normal fluid and didn't think much of it.  Only yesterday, i was pretty muich forcing out a hard stool when some more fluid came out. An hour later, quite abit came out into my underwear.  I've never had this before.

I have been tested for Chlam and Gon several times and all -ve.  Ive had urine cultured several time (first catch in morning) that also came out fine. At a GUM clinic i had a swab done (I told them I was worried about NSU), and under the microscope the Dr didnt find any pus cells (ithis was in the evening, and hadnt seen any type of discharge at this point).  I am worried and suffering from bad anxiety. My GP thinks Ive had all tests needed and am just worrying about nothing.  I know i sound mad, and ive already bothered you about it, but I just need your help on this one thing.
1. I fingered the girl, then touched the hole on my penis when taking off condom (is there risk from this)?
3. Does this discharge sound normal, its clear. normally only see it in morning when i squeeze?
2. I got tested last year, and no real symptoms. is there a chance of symptoms taking this long to show up?
3. Do you think i am checking for things that may be normal too much?
4. With all the tests I've had is it enough to say I'm fine?
5. I have got a partner, and I've thought i was fine all this time. Is it safe to resume as normal?

6. Do you have any advice, my doctor wont test me anymore neither will the GUM clinic.

This new question is a continuation of your anxiety-driven interactions with Dr. Handsfield a month ago.  You were fine then and you are fine now.  I considered just deleting the question but then thought I'd take one shot at helping too.  There will not be follow-ups as if past performance is any indicator, each answer seems to act as a stimulus for another anxiety-driven question.

You have had multiple negative tests for STD all of which are negative.  Your own health care providers have told you that you are fine.  Dr. Handsfield has as well.  Now I will do the same.  If you squeeze your penis hard enough and long enough you will detect the small amount of normal discharge that most men have, particularly in the morning after it has built up overnight.  In fact many men see this regularly without squeezing or particularly careful self-examination.  You need to believe your tests.

Now, in answer to your specific questions:
1.  As Dr. Handsfield told you, this is zero risk.
2.  Yes, it sounds totally normal
3.  No, symptoms would have shown up long ago.
4.  Yes, PLEASE believe your tests.
5.  Of course it is safe to resume unprotected sex with your regular partner based on the information provided.
6. I wouldn't test you either.  My advice is that you should talk with a counselor or mental health provider to help you work through this unjustified anxiety.
