Herpes from Oral Sex?

Hi--
I'm freaking out right now because of a really stupid experience. A few days ago I was with a woman I'd never met before. She gave me oral sex for seriously about 5 seconds--very short. What is the likelihood that I could catch either the HSV1 or the HSV2 from this woman on my genitals? I did not see any active lesions on her mouth, there was no physical evidence that she had anything. However, I had some redness from masturbation just below the tip of the penis before, and my friends and  I went to a strip club, so some grinding gave me some light abrasions on my penis and these things coupled with the very brief oral sex encounter have me freaking out. Oh, and by the way, I have already in my life had cold sores on my mouth.

Urinary frequency is not a symptom of STD and urinary tract infections are uncommon n men.  I would guess this is anxiety asserting itself.  EWH

Just one more question, I promise, and thank you for providing this service. I still have no discharge or lesions or anything like that. However, over the past two days I've urinated frequently, though it doesn't hurt or burn when I do. Is this a symptom of anything like gonorrhea, chlamydia (which I don't think I'd be at risk of), or NGU? Or is it just my overanxiety about the whole ordeal?

I think that at this time you should also consider thist o be an ingrown hair of pimple(medically we call this folliculitis).  this is what your description sounds like while it does not sound like a typical presentation of an STD.  EWH

Are there any other (gonorrhea, etc.) STD's I could have contracted that would lead to any physical symtoms on my genitals? I ask because I found a small reddish pimple like thing in my pubic hair between my scrotum and my leg. There is only one, and any other time I would dismiss as either a pimple, ingrown hair or jock itch sort of thing. There is only one. Am I at risk for genital warts or anything else besides Herpes, which I have seen no symptoms of. Again, this exposure was about 5 second of oral sex and hand contact.

Stop worrying.  If you have had cold sores in the past (I think that is what you meant to write), they provide you with a great deal of resistance to infection.  Repeated infections are very, very rare.  If you have not had cold sore, the odds are still that you have HSV-1, like about 60% of the general population, most of whom do not know they have it.  As for HSV-2, this almost never is transmitted by mouth to a partner's genitals.  When you consider this, coupled with the facts that she did not have any obvious cold sores, your chances are very low.

My advice, try not to worry.  If lesions appear, you would typically expect them to do so in 3-7 days, beyond this little to worry about.  Testing would have  little benefit for you at this time.  Hope this is helpful.  EWH
