follow-up question

I wrote in about two weeks ago and asked about redness on the head of my penis on the underside.

the redness was appeared 4 days after a girl spit on the opening of my penis twice and then used her hand to rub it in.

i told u that the redness went away overnight after use of 2.5% hydrocortizone.

so it lasted a total of 2-3 days.

the skin has compeltely returned to normal.

so...that whole event occurred tues-thur two weeks ago.

that weekend last weekend (one week ago) i slept with my girlfriend, unprotected.

last night sunday (about 1 weeks after intercourse)...she had to stop me during intercourse because of a bad pain in her vagina.  she wears a nuvoring birth control by the way.

she said it hurt too much to continue.

when we started she was fairly dry...a little fluid, but i had to force myself in there.

we thought it was just pain due to dryness...so we tried baby oil...but as soon i put it in...she said it hurt way too much...so we stopped.

i asked her this monring about it, she said she took out her nuvoring (as scheduled) and it hurt pulling it out. so i guess it is still sensitive.

as far as i know, she doesn't have a discharge or any other symptom.

i'm worried about STDs..if it possible that i passed something to her. REading on the internet says that this is vaginitis and is usually caused by dry intercourse OR STDs.

the reason i'm worried is that she has felt pain due to dryness before and she said this felt different.  She also said that she felt like her vagina began to close up and her whole body would tense up....she HAS NEVER felt this before.

i'm very worried...i'm worried about PID, or anything else.

I know you are going to say that the exposure i had is very low risk....but about two months ago i receive unprotected oral from a sex worker...but i had no symptoms.

so i'm now i'm very very worried about her.

please help.

I did already ask this to Dr. Rockoff, but i left out that the symptoms began a week later...he was under the impression that her symptoms were 10 min later.

please help

question:

is there anything i need to look out for?  that she needs to worry about if it happen? discharge etc?

I'm going to get tested this Friday, that would be about 3 weeks after exposure...is that enough?  if i'm clear...should i not worry?

also, i've had cold sores for a while now, so i'm assuming that i'm immune to HSV1.  Her family has it, but she has only had internal (mouth) sores.

thanks doc

Yup, miniscule if any risk.  You are correct that if you have had oral herpes, your risk of catching herpes from the event is even lower than otherwise.

The symptoms you describe for yourself don't sound like STD anyway.  And painful sex is not generally a symptom of STD, unless your partner had overt genital sores--in which case she probably would have noticed them even without sex.

Your partner is the one with symptoms.  If they persist (or even if they resolve but she is concerned), she is the one who needs to be checked--as Dr. Rockoff said--not you.  If there is something wrong, almost certainly it has nothing to do with your exposure a couple of months ago.
