STD Risk from Massage and Handjob

I was in China for a week (major cities) staying at luxury hotels and decided a few days ago to go the in house spa at my hotel. The masseuse (a local) was always dressed and washed my feet (and hence her hands were at least somewhat washed) after I had showered there and then gave me a massage, where I was nude (I am also un-circumsized). It was much more sensual than I had requested and her hands sometimes went on my butt and on the crack but not deep inside. She later convinced me to a handjob/happy ending (she wanted to do more but I refused). Afterwards, I noticed a few cuts on my legs and scratches on my back which I did know I had. There was no kissing or my touching her and I do not believe she ever touched her genitals. How at risk am I for any STDs (including HPV or HSV) or other skin disorders.  Is this something I should discuss with my wife and doctor? Testing? I am worried about the hand to genital transmission as well as the possibility of exposure to my blood via the cuts and scratches and her hand. Not sure if the masseuse is in good health. Thanks for your guidance.

last answer- you are over reacting.  There is no need for you to be fearful of sex with your wife.  This ends this thread. Further questions will be deleted without comment. EWH

Dear Dr Hook,

I am very afraid to have sex with my spouse. My penis feels a bit weird; itchy. It is a bit painful when retracting the skin and it hurts on ejaculation. Is this all in my head and a reflection of guilt or it could be something physical like a urinary tract or prostate infection-can these be passed on to my spouse.

Thank you much for your guidance and understanding

Is a urinary track infection or prostate infection something that I would pass to my spouse. Sounds like you saying I can have sex with my spouse without any STD worries from the episode.

Dr Hook,

Could a urinary tract infection explain what I am feeling?

Thanks for your help.

You will need to discuss the possiblity of a prostate infection with your doctor who can test you for this. Again, nohting you have described would put you at risk for an STD. EWH

New condition that has developed is pain in retracting foreskin and some discomfort on ejaculation. Is that a symptom of anything- any significance of this condition? Will it clear by itself? The episode was about a week ago.

Read a post here in which somene claimed a prostrate infection occurred as a result of a massage/hand job. Is that possible?

Thanks!

I am experiencing some burning on the cheeks outside the rectum. Can this be related to hand contact with the area? Should I go to a doctor to see if there any herpes sores, genital warts or other abnormalities on my butt or back.

Thanks again for all your help.

While this might be a THEORETCAL risk (in much the same way that you might get struck by lightening while reading this), there really is NO meaningful risk for any STD from the exposure you describe and no need for concern or for testing.  EWH

Dr Hook,

Aside from HIV, are other STDs that could be transmitted in the  episode such as HPV or HSV or other skin disorders?

Thanks for the guidance

Welcome to the Forum.  You have no reason for concern.  Hand to genital transmission of HIV does not occur so, even with your scratches, there is no risk of infection.  Just to illuminate this, let me point out that HIV has never been documented in mutual masturbation situations in which it is typical for partners get each others' genital secrtion on on one another.

You have no reason for concern and no medical reason for testing.  I hope my comments will help you to move forward from here.  EWH
