frottage and skin contact

Yesterday i engaged in frottage with a male of unknown status.he wore shorts the whole time and myself underwear.it was kind of rough, meaning his erect member was pushing very hard against my buttocks and vagina in a variety of positions, but no genitals ever made contact.at one point, in the "doggystyle position" he pulled my underwear down and his penis made contact directly with my buttocks and top of my butt crack. i immediately moved away.
-the next morning i had soreness and some small looking abrasions near my outer anus region, maybe half an inch from my anus. i am sure they are from the rough frottage but am mostly concerned with the penis to buttocks contact.
it was dark and i never actually saw his penis so im unaware if there were lesions present.i am in a monogamous relationship so made sure to avoid any risky acts but cant stop wondering if i have contracted hsv2 in this act.
my specific questions:
-While i know the penis to buttocks contact is very low risk, do you think its something i should be concerned about?
-How susceptible is the buttocks,ie,cheeks, butt crack, to contracting hsv2 ASSUMING in worst case scenario he has a lesion or was shedding?
-frottage is safe sexual act to me but does the very hard grinding nature of the act change that in any way?

My boyfriend and i have been together and monogamous for 10 years, and thus engage in condomless sex often and are both std free, being unfaithful is bad enough, but to transfer something to him from this act is plain unfair to him and i would like assurance that we can have our normal condomless sex without me giving him something.
I have read through the forum and become very educated but as with anxiety, having my personal experience commented on would be very helpful. thank you for a superb service.

thank you for your reassuring response! for future reference, what i found disconcerting about researching this topic before asking directly was the reference to skin to skin contact. with sti's is it true that its not skin to skin contact, ie an infected penis touching someones lower back or buttocks for that matter, but contact directly with the genitals that spreads virus? i think clarification on this matter would alleviate many people and my own worries about non risk encounters. i am also under the impression that some kind of rubbing in order to massage the virus into the skin is necessary? thanks for the reassurance again, if you could please elaborate on these misconceptions i would greatly appreciate it! keep up the great work educating the public on our sexual health!

Welcome to the Forum.  I'll be pleased to comment.  Please do not worry about infection from the activities that you describe.  As you point out, this was a virtually no risk activity.  There are no STIs including HSV that would cause lesions or symptoms to appear in 24 or 36 hours after an exposure. thus I am confident that the pimples that you have noticed are due to something other than an STI acquired during frottage.  Any soreness is a result of the activity, not an STI.

I think that when we are feeling a bit guilty about our activities, it tends to amplify concerns.  In the situation you describe however, there really is nothing to worry about.  Try to move forward.  No need for concern,  No need for testing .  EWH

one thing to add, i normally have small pimples on my buttocks that never have been suspicious and come and go in life. but with my obvious anxiety and checking i noticed 3 of them, one just a bump, and one with a piece of dry skin attached to it,very small, in the area i suspect may have made contact with the penis, they are not clustered but are about an inch apart. the third one is a bigger, non red bump, more like an inflamed pimple at the very top of my butt crack.if i were to have contracted hsv in that contact, is that the spot where it would appear? also, the contact was 36 hours ago-is it wise to assume they are normal pimples and too early to appear from this sti?they have no pain or even redness for that matter....
