The purpose of the word limitation is to prevent such extremely long questions like yours.  You need to fit everything into the initial question  The MedHelp moderators don't usually see follow-up comments until after the initial question has been read and answered, and are under no obligation to answer any questions other than the initial one.

From your description, I doubt your problem is either herpes, warts, or any other STD.  I will be happy to reply in more detail if you re-post in a new question.  (Contact MedHelp administration if you want to ask about refunding one of your fees.)

(continued from abvoe, forum wouldn't let me post all)

1. Does this look like HSV?  (Pics taken today, day 3. Has not changed in size & has possibly gotten smaller.)

2. If I was exposed to HSV in Jan, & have been kissing him on a regular basis ever since, would it take as long as it has to have an outbreak?
3. I have NOT had any other tingles, bumps or red spots. & I have picked at this thing quite a bit.  What are the chances I have spread it if I have no other bumps?
4. Are initial outbreaks usually more severe?
5. Should I be tested for HSV?
6. If I was exposed to it, & this is NOT an outbreak, doesn

I should add that the FIRST time we kissed (in January) he had small remains of a cold sore.  At that time I did not realize that they were contagious.  I could barely notice it, so either it was just starting of just ending.  So I was definitely exposed to the virus in January, and have not had any other symptoms since then.

We have made out on multiple occasions since then, but  he had not had a cold sore that I know of since then.  I know he does'nt have to have an outbreak for me to be exposed to the virus, but I also know from reading these forums that the chances are even less that I would get it in between outbreaks.

Also, I do not look at posted photos.  To my thinking, it comes too close to practicing from a distance, by coming up with a specific diagnosis, and I don't do that.  Rather than re-posting a shorter question here, consider the dermatology forum. Dr. Rockoff doesn't have the same limitation I do about posted photos.

The photo is a sore in the corner of the mouth. It does not look like a herpes sore to me. It was probably a small spot that got picked and is now taking a long time to heal - in this location, everytime you open your mouth, the skin streches, so healing takes longer. I am not a doctor, i'm just throwing in my opinion. I have had the odd sore in the corner of my mouth over the years, but they have been puss filled - and under the skin. Herpes lesions are on the skin.

Thanks Doc.  I just reposted my question in a much smaller form, and left out the HPV stuff.  My main concern is HSV anywho right now.  I am still waiting to here back on if I am going to be reimbursed or not.  Thanks.
