One More Question

So I took tests for everything regarding down there but I did use vaginal cream (for a yeast infection) a few days before and also that night and took these tests in the afternoon. It was a swab and urine (mid stream). My doctor had said that nothing would affect these tests since they test for specific organisms to detect STDs. Is this true? should I be alright with my negative results? Or should I do it again? Im worried and need to know.

it's most helpful if you just keep adding new comments/questions/updates in your original post instead of making a new post each time. thank you for your cooperation wtih this.

If you used vaginal cream the night before, it will affect the accuracies of any tests for yeast and bacterial vaginal infections.  It won't affect other std testing though.

You have an extraordinary amount of posts in 5 days.  I know not all of them are questions, some are responses to other's questions but it's still a heck of a lot of posts.  I honestly can't even remember at this point what your original issue was and I"m not about to go thru all your posts on several forums.

Have you talked to a professional about your anxiety about all of this?

Grace is considered expert opinion and I would take her words as exactly what they are.  You should be more concerned about the anxiety than std's.  Please seek professional help with your anxiety because obviously nothing we say satisfies you.

lets say I had an STD in my vagina or an infection in my vagina, could this spread to my anus with just wiping the area? I have never had anal sex of any kind or any fingers in anas or anything of that sort. But could an infection or an STD spread like this? When wiping from vagina to anus or visa versa or does it have to only occur during sexual intercourse through the hole exactly?

wiping will not pass a STD, but maybe a yeast infection or something like that i am sure might be possible.

If you can't get it from wiping then how would you get an STD in your eye? wouldnt you have to touch something then touch your eye for it to get there?

An STD in the eye would be very rare and it would involve actual fluids entering the eye, most common would be ejaculation on the face and going into the eye.

and would not happen by touching fluids from STD onto eye? I am just asking this because it is a little confusing. And as far as the wiping goes it has to be penetrative sex? not wiping? sorry I am just confused and don't want to mix things up and I want to fully understand this.

Just a small amount of fluid say on your finger then wiping your eye has very little to no risk for transfer, you really need a decent amount.

STD's are not passed through enviromental surfaces and die shortly after when exposed to air. so you really need the fluids to be exchanged during sex for transfer. in theory you probably could wipe and spread it, but theory is differnet from actually happening.

You tested and were negative though right for STD's? My guess is then yeast infection or BV and that got transmitted to the anal area.

yes your are right about testing negative for STDs and I tested yet again yesterday, urine and swab test. (wanted to do it again because of the vaginal insertive cream just incase) and non of my partners seem to have any symptoms of STDs and says they don't have STDs. So I am very confused and upset and can't figure out what this is...

At this point not much we can do for you. continue to follow up with providers when you have symptoms. If you get new test results, we can then help you with education and support for them.

sorry I am just trying to figure out what this is. my doctor keeps saying its nothing but we checked for gon. chylam. trich, bv NSG NGU and yeast again. through swab and urine. was there anything else I was missing? should I do an anal swab test too? my doctor won't be in till monday and thats when she will call me with all of the results. but I only did these tests for the vagina not anus. and I am thinking if I had something it traveled from wiping, grace, is this possible? with an STD and or infection?

it's time to stop thinking all std's as a cause. Many things can cause issues such as you've described. Your anxiety about all of this, probably isn't helping much either.

This is a free forum. There is only so much we can do to help you. You need to be following up on all of this with your providers at this point.

So I got all my swab tests and urine tests back again...all negative once again. Could this be PID? and what are the most accurate tests for this (besides sonogram/ultrasound test? I can't see my OBGYN until August 11th. And should I refrain from sex? (even with condom use, I will always use condoms.)
