The chances that what you have experienced is oral gonorrhea are very, very low. I say this for a number of reasons. For starters, the symptoms of STDs virtually never start just a day after exposure. Second, most oral gonorrhea is asymptomatic and is not associated with sore throat, fever or other symptoms of any sort. Thus, what you most likely have is a viral sore throat or at worst, strep throat. If it is strep throat and it could well be you need treatment. Thus I would suggest that if it si not clearly viral and has lasted more than a day or two, you get checked but that you not worry about gonorrhea.
Based on what I've just said, it also follows that I can assure you that your GF is not at risk,
hope this helps. EWH
Yes. Out of date doxy, in particular, can cause toxic side effects. I realize you ask in the hopes of short circuting the need for a trip to the doctor but I would advise against it. EWH
As I said, nothing you have reported suggests gonorrhea - I told you this and so did your doctor. If you had gonorrhea, penicillin will cure some but not all infections because some gonorrhea is resistant to penicillin. It is time for you to forget about this and move on. EWH
Today I went to the doctor he told me the throat infection dosnt look like anything to do with oral sex infection. He prescribed me penicillin so even if it was goorrhea the penicillin should take care of it?
Thanks
Thank You Doctor you defintly made me feel better already.
I have one more question about antibiotics, I found some Doxycycline in my med cabinet that is about 2.5 yrs old should I flush it down the toilet or could it be still good?
