Why should I repeat the answers I already gave? It is pointless to test for STDs after those antibiotics; they would have cured any infection and therefore the tests would be negative. You could not have caught HIV and don't need testing for it.
No more comments on this thread. And don't start a new one.
Doctor, I really do not money to start a new thread. Please give me just yes/no answers.
1- Unprotected receiving oral sex. Rocephin and Doxy treatment. After treatment no symptoms. Should I get tested for STDs?
2- Should I get tested for Hiv?
Thanks
Dear Doctor :.
I am sure you will get angry with this question. Please help me. I swear that this is my last question:
I read your comments that say "Just receiving oral is a risk for HSV 1 not for HSV 2"
Do my medicines prevent or cure HSV 1? If not, should I expect some sores on my penis for future times. What should I do?
Fraternally Regards :.
No, no, and yes -- in that order.
Doctor,
The last one:
Do you recommend any further treatment or test?
Sould I move on my life?
Regards,
Welcome to the STD forum.
You may or may not have acquired an STD from the oral sex exposure. A sense of "burning" on the outside of the penis isn't a typical symptom, and having a few white blood cells in the urine is a nonspecific test result. My guess is that your professor/doctor treated you more as a precaution than from definite diagnosis of urethritis -- but you'll have to clarify that part with him or her. Hopefully he sent off urine or a urethral swab to test for STDs like gonorrhea and perhaps chlamydia (although chlamydia is unlikely after oral sex and can't cause symptoms sooner than 7-10 days after exposure).
1) Your doctor is following standard procedure. Most experts do not recommend follow-up exam and testing in this situation, unless symptoms return.
2) Syphilis is a small risk in this sort of exposure. And the answer is yes: either ceftriaxone (Rocephin) or doxycycline would abort incubating syphilis, and the two together guarantees syphilis would be eradicated.
I suggest you lay off the internet. You're obviously very anxious about all this, and in that state of mind you will only find information to inflame and prolong your fears. All is well; nothing bad is going to come from this.
