Am I too worried?

Dear Doctor
I know I posted a similar question on the HIV forum but im still concerned. Like I had mentioned I protected sex for about 2 minutes or so then proceeded to keep that condom on by accident. My penis came into contact with my boxers which came into contact with the condom. Had this person had any stds should I be at all worried? Is lots of friction  between my penis and boxers considered vigorously massaging? I have been really worried about and I dont think the anxiety is helping. I feel like there is irratation at the tip of my penis but it only comes and goes throughout the day mostly when im thinking about? Am I over reacting or have you seen cases where stds have been transmitted in this matter?

Three days ago, you asked a question stating it was your last.  Own up to it.

It is all in your head bball03.  You don't have any symptom of STDs.  Your concern is a disrespect to people with real problems.

I'm sorry to rub you the wrong way.  But if that's what it takes to help you get through this then good.  Some people like you just need to be told.

I got my test results back for gonorrhea, chlamydia and syphilis. They all were negative but I did not test for NGU. Is this a good indication that I am not infected by any std whatsoever besides the ones listed? Sorry for this post. It will be the last one for you. Thanks

No.  Please, no further "what if" questions.  You need to move on from this.  EWH

Your test results for gonorrhea, chlamydia and NGU will be conclusive at 10 days.  Syphilis, whic is really not an issue either, can take up to 3 months for a blood test to turn positve.  EWH

Sorry for this last post doctor but I have one more question. The possible exposure I had was 10 days ago. I did get tested and I'm waiting on the results so my question is if the results are negative assuming they will be by the information provided, is it advised to to retest due to testing before some infections fully develop?

Thanks for the response. I think my anxiety has just taken over because that is pretty much the only thing on my mind.

Yes, you are over reacting.

Dr. Handsfield told you this is his response and folks in the STD Community have said the same thing.  There was NO RISK for any STD, including HIV from the exposure you describe and that you "forgot" (????) to take the condom off makes no difference whatsoever in this.  Furthermore, STDs do not cause intermittent symptoms of the sort you describe but anxiety does.

You do not need testing, you do not need to be concerned.  I sincerely hope my comments will be helpful to you in moving on from this. There is no reason for concern.  EWH
