Penis symptoms

Hello. I'm a 20 year old male who had unprotected sex last week. A few days later I noticed a bit of sensitivity and irritation (not really pain) near the tip of my urethra.  It isn't burning when I urinate, nor is there any redness. Things that seem out of the ordinary are: a slight tense feeling of the testicles, this on-and-off irritation of the tip of my penis, a very tiny small red dot underneath my foreskin, just before the head of my penis (although I think i've noticed these come and go before, could just be a blood vessel or something), and just recently a slightly itchy anus.  I went to the clinic a few days ago and was tested for chlamydia, gonorrhea, HIV and syphilis, but still awaiting results.  Do you have any answers that might give me piece of mind? Thanks.

The uriologist is probably the best person to deal with now. Hope he can figure things out for you.

Update:

Since I last updated I have had 3 more urine tests done, all negative for STD's. I have seen a urologist who said that I absolutely do not have STD's, and that the redness was related to balanitis, and easily went away with soaking.  He diagnosed me with epididymitis and I've been on meds for it, which had been working, but the past few days the pain is returning. Also, my penis shaft has become sensitive when both flaccid and erect. These problems have been troubling me for over two months now and I just can't seem to get cured. I'm going to book another appointment with the urologist asap.

Have you had an HIV test since the last one? Any penile itching?

Furthur update:  I just found out that my urine test on the 7th came back negative.  I had another done on the 14th, but if there was nothing found on the 7th, likely the one on the 14th will be negative as well.  Now this has me really worried, as things appear to be wrong, but no tests are giving results.

Update:  I saw a doctor who prescribed a compound medication for 2 weeks for the fungal breakout. After 3 days it has been working fine so far.  I also have four more days of doxycycline medication to go, but yet the curvature of my penis seems to remain the same.  It is only evident during 'semi-erection' state, and it appears completely normal during full erection.  Is this a possible early stage of peyronie's disease, despite my young age?  Or is it something associated with chlamydia/epididymitis?  Any info will help, thank you very much.

You could have yeast or fungus from the antibiotic, especially if you had that before.  Talk to your doctor about getting more cream, or use the cream if you have any left.

Another update: I am only 3 days into my doxycycline and the pain involved with the testicles and urethra has lessened, but there has been an outbreak of tiny little red dots over my glans under the foreskin.  Very similar to what I described in my first post, but many more of them.  Any ideas if this is a reaction to the medication or if it is something else, possibly STD related?  Very nervous about this; I am going to head to the outpatients in the morning.

Just an update:  I saw a doctor in the ER who told me he was 99% sure it was the symptoms of prolonged chlamydia that lead to epididymitis.  He gave me doxycycline and said that it should clear it up. He said it was very possible for the first STD test not to show chlamydia presence because I had it done so early after exposure. I've been on the medication for 3 days and have noticed a slight pain/discomfort reduction.  I will update when the meds are complete. I hope this works!

Thank you very much for your quick responses, AJ. As you can imagine I am quite concerned.  I'll mention the prostate suggestion when I visit my GP next.

You are young for this, but you should have a prostate exam.  I would also ask them to culture your urine and see what grows.

Well I'm back again, and things aren't resolved.  I used the lubricant like my GP had advised, but it only alleviated, and didn't seem to cure.  She then did a swab for yeast, and had me use Canesten 6 for seven days, which seemed to get rid of the symptoms. But the results came back showing that I did not have yeast.  Things were fine for a day or two, and then I began having pain in my urethra at the base of my penis, and my penis has begun to slightly hang curved to the right. As well there is a slight redness at the tip of glans, as well as lower abdomen pain and testicle pain (all of which still exist).  I went to an afterhours clinic and the Doctor did a test for bladder infection which came back negative. So he said to use some polysporin on the tip of my glans and it should clear up.  Well, it hasn't, and I am stilling having these symptoms.  Does anyone have any other ideas?  I am going to book an appointment with my GP asap.

Well my GP examined me said it was likely just irritation due to prolonged and rough unprotected sex.  She said that everything looked completely normal and a lot of the symptoms were likely heightened due to stress and paranoia.  She said give it a week and the slight itchiness and dryness will be gone, and to use lubricant to aide in the process.

Well I just saw my GP and she examined me and said that she sees no signs of Herpes what so ever, and the penis and testicles look and feel normal.  It was probably just a reaction to the prolonged, rough sex.  She just advised lubricant if it's still dry and I should be fine in a week to ten days.  Thanks to those who responded!!

I think that's a good idea, and don't be too focused on stds.  Something else might be causing this that isn't related at all.

Hello again. Since my last post I have received/lost symptoms.  The irritation in and around my penis subsided, but then my testicles became sensitive for a couple days, but that too has subsided.  Yesterday and today I have felt fine.  I also received my results from my tests: all negative.  Do you think I may have/had something else, maybe a slight infection or something?  I think for peace of mind I will visit my GP and relay her my complete series of symptoms over the past two weeks. I don't want to be caught with something that can pose a future problem.

I too had the same sensation and later i found it to be herpes. Symptomps can be very deceiving , so wait for the results.

For herpes and HIV, you may have to wait for 3-4 months to get correct results.

All the best to you

Probably too quick for herpes to show.

Since my last post, I have noticed a few more tiny red spots on and under the foreskin of my penis. Could this possibly be Herpes, or just more effects from what I described earlier?

It could be a couple of different things including an STD. But just irritation is possible. Wait for your results and the Dr would be able to give you proper treatment based on that.
