Please Help! I Am Going Crazy!

Hi Doc,

The other night I was at a strip club I received a lap dance during that lap dance she gave me a handjob until I ejaculated. The only other contact that took place was she kissed me on the cheek and I touched her vagina. I am very worried that I might have gotten some kind of STD like HIV or or herpes or anything. Is there anyway I could have gotten something? Should I get tested? I am just worried because who knows how many other people she touched since she is a stripper. I haven't been able to get any sleep I am so worried.

I do not think you need to be concerned.  Touching is simply not a way to get HIV or other STDs.  The scenario you describe is not a low risk exposure--it is a no risk exposure.  STDs are spread throuh the transfer of secretions from an infected person to a non-infected person.  The thick skin of the hand is not susceptible to infection by STDs.  Even if she had touched others at some time in the past, for her to have then contaminated you is just not plausible.  Do not worry.  Try to get some sleep

Also the other extreme circumstance I was thinking of is maybe she still had some other guys residue on her hands from before and then touched mine but I highly doubt it.
