Herpes on Testicles

Doctors,

Thank you for moderating this forum.  Quick question for you all;  I have a small singular ulcer on the very back part of my scrotum almost where the testicles meet the perinium.  Similar to my post a few years back, I have been sexually inactive and have had repeated negative herpselect tests.  Occasionally I do get ingrown hairs where my scrotum meets my thigh, but never this far back and they never look like an unclear, or shallow cut.  Any alternative explanations, do I need to worry about herpes with multiple clear blood tests.  I just can't really find anything else online that explains an ulcer. Do most herpes outbreaks have multiple ulcers.  Dont know lid it helps, but I never saw a blister or any sort of crust, just the ulcer.

You are being paranoid,  the location you describe is a common location for fissures, yeast infections and minor trauma.

We do not recommend blood tests for HSV diagnosis.  Too many false positives,  eWH

A better question is, are the blood tests definitive?

Thanks for you time

Any alternatives for the cause of an ulcer?  That is the only thing I cannot wrap my head around.

Welcome back to our Forum.  I would not be worried that this lesion is a manifestation of HSV.  Your negative tests and lack of recent exposures indicate that this is not HSV.  Further, over 85% of herpes in men occur at the penis and infection at this site is most unusual.  Further, as you point out, even most recurrences have multiple lesions.  EWH
