Probability of false negative results

I gave a urine sample and tested negative for chlamydia, gonorrhea, and trich. My symptoms seem closest to trich symptoms. I was given an antibiotic for chlamydia, which made the symptoms go away, but they came back shortly after finishing the medicine. I tested for GC and Chlamydia twice and both were negative, so I don't think that's a concern. How common is it for a man to get a false negative trich result?

We don't recommend just throwing medication at a problem. As Grace said Trich is difficult to detect in males. The tests for the other STD's are very accurate.

The Dr. told me that the results are very accurate. Should I get tested again? Should I ask to get treatment for trich? I had my prostate checked, but it's been a while. Maybe I should do it again. This started 3 months ago.

If you are still having symptoms, see an urologist.

have you had a prostate exam done too?
