Does this sound like HSV2

I had oral sex (give and receive no condom) and then penetration sex with condom and then without the condom. He took it off 1/2 way through. UGH! The NEXT day I burned down below and still do to this day ..today is 13 days later. Redness and burning but no blisters or sores. No itching. No discharge. Could this be from the spermicide that remained on his penis or a yeast infection or HSV2? He said he has nothing and never has. This was a one time thing. I didnt see or feel anything on him. I started monistat and am on the 4th night and am feeling a bit better below. Still a little discomfort. Nothing in the way of sores. This morning I woke up with a sore throat and tonight I have a temperature of 99.1. Low grade.  What do you think this sounds like? Should I be concerned about HSV2 with the temperature and sore throat (no sores in throat either) I have had HSV1 since a small child orally. What could possibly show up THE next day after. Not even 24 hours later. Then the cold/flu symptoms at almost 2 weeks. Help me please Doc.

Final answer. The delay in your results is not a sign of problems.  it probably just reflects the holiday weekend.

I know you said you weren't going to comment to me anymore but if you can please put my mind to rest about one other thing. I will pay you again if you require it just let me know. I went for my tests on Monday. I used an online testing service. They use labcorp to draw and the labcorp in Raritan nj to test the samples. Anyway I have used them before and have always gotten the results back in 1 to 3 days like they state. The tests involved are hsv1 and 2 igg. Syphillis. Hep c. Hiv 1/2 w conf. Gon. Chlamydia. CBC and urinalysis. Always 1 to 3 days. As of Friday I still hadn't heard anything and she saidy tests are still processing. Is this unusual? Does this mean they are positive and confirming? Again sick with worry. I'm now at 7 days of waiting with the weekend. :( tomorrow is a holiday also. Please let me know if you want more money to answer.  I can pay. Thank you!!  :(

This will need to be my final reply. you need to stop worrying.  The lesion you describe does not sound like herpes but if it were, the correct way to diagnose it would be with a swab taken as a PCR specimen at the time of examinatin by an experienced clinician.  Blood tests are of only modest help in these situation.

Hello again Dr. Hook. On Sunday evening I had a bump come up on the outer labia. It is red but painless. I cannot tell if it is fluid filled. It is soft not hard. Its Wednesday morning and its still there and looks the same, maybe a tiny bit larger but still the same and no pain. Now I am back to the herpes question. I had blood work drawn Monday which was 6 weeks from expsure but no results back yet. Does this sound like Herpes. It woud be an initial outbreak. Arent they more severe and wouldnt it be sooner than 6 weeks for it to show itself? I do have oral HSV1 since a child. It almost appears that the fordyce spots on that side are enlarged. Could it be an enlarged or inflmaed fordyce spot with no pain? Wouldnt herpes always be extremely painful or itchy or something? Wouldnt it break open at some point because its been there 4 days now and looks the same. ???

This was a low risk encounter.  If you test I anticipate there is a better than 99.9% chance that your tests will be negative. EWH

Ok so I am almost 6 weeks post encounter shall I say and I intend to test for hiv and a full panel on Wednesday. Would you say the encounter I described is high risk? What is my risk percentage  from the encounter I described? Unprotected oral no ejaculation. Protected vaginal and then maybe 5 minutes unprotected. Withdrew and ejaculation outside. Not sure of his status. He is a married state police officer. What so you think my risk is. I haven't felt well lately but I attribute that to anxiety.

Trich can cause irritation, with or without a vginal discharge, which brings me back to my original advice to you- "If your irritation persists, I would suggest that you go seek a health care professional who can examine you.".  

if your irritation is not getting better there is no substitute for an examination and testing based on what is seen at the examination.  EWH

No. Just sincerely hoping against it. What about trich. How would that present? Irritation? or would I have to have discharge and odor etc. Neither of which I have. Just seems like something else may be going on. It may be a bit better but def not completely --if it was yeast Im sure the monistat 7 would have shown major improvement after 5 days using it so far.. No?

Unlikely and you have said you noted irritation ("Redness and burning but no blisters or sores.").  If this was HSV, you would see lesions.

Are you trying to convince yourself you have herpes?  EWH

Herpes would not show up until at least 3-4 days after exposure.  

If the irritation you have experienced was due to HSV, you would see the blisters or ulcerations.

Yes two weeks is a bit long for chemical irritation to persist.

What is the earliest that herpes 2 could show up after exposure? What about exposure times of the other stis?

Welcome back to the Forum. I'll try to help. There are no STIs that would cause irritation and burning less than 24 hours after sex.  On the other hand, irritation from a spermicide, trauma from lack of lubrication, or a latex allergy could all cause these sorts of symptoms.  A yeast infection might do so as well.  The fact that topical Monistat is helping could suggest that this is yeast or it could simply be that natural course of your irritation running its course.  

As for herpes, nothing you mention suggests herpes. If your symptoms were due to herpes, you would have easily detected lesions.  That you don't pretty much rules out the possibility of HSV-2.  

I suspect your sore throat is a coincidence. STIs which occur in the throat are typically asymptomatic.
