Red Scrotum and irritated tip of penis

I had sex with a girl in a strip club about two months ago.  We used a condom.  And there were no other activities, except a few lap dances.  A week later I noticed a slight burning sensation where my leg meets my groin, a warm feeling in my scrotum, the tip of my penis is irritated, and then my scrotum turned a red color that comes and goes.  I have not had any drainage or pain with urination.

I've been tested for Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, HIV, Herpes type 2, and syphilis.  All test came back negative.

However, I still get the red scrotum, the slight chapped feeling in groin area, and the irritated opening of my penis.  I've seen both a dermatologist and a urologist and they gave me some anti-fungal cream (oxistat) for a few weeks and a topical (cloderm) for the tip of my penis.  But the irritation is still there.

Do you think I have an STD that they have missed?  Could my symptoms be from gilt and being nervous about what I might have?

Welcome to our Forum. There is little chance that your encounter with the dancer is related to the irritation you describe. Condom protected sex is safe sex with no meaningful risk for most STDs. In your case, your negative tests verify this.

As I read your questions, I came to the same conclusion as the doctors you saw.  The irritation of your groin and scrotum sounds a great deal like a fungal infection. Sometimes such rashes require repeated treatment to clear.

Finally. Sometimes after an exposure that, in retrospect, one wishes they had not had, persons tend to examine themselves and be far more attuned to genital sensations than in periods when they are not concerned.  This in turn leads to noticing what turn out to be normal sensations that might have been not noticed or ignored at other times.  Perhaps this was a contributor to your situation qas well

I hope these comments are helpful to you. Take care. EWH

I do not recommend additonal tests and as I said before, this could be a fungus.  I would consider that possiblity.  EWH

I conpletely agree with you that my gilt and concern for my health and that of my wife has made me be far more attuned to that area..

But I'm still concerned with the redness and irritation around the opening of my penis.  What could be causing this if not an std and not a fungus?

Is it possible that the test were false negatives?  I had them done around two months after the experince.  Is that long enough for the virus or infection to show up?  Do you recommend any additional tests other than the ones l have already had done?  Should I retest at a later date?  If so, when do you recommend?

Thank you for your help.
