Red tip of penis (glans)

Im 21, uncut. 2 yrs ago, i had unprtcted sex with a lady I didnt know. Few days after this, lots of little red dots shwd on the tip of my penis. Not raisedno pain. Tryin not to panic I lft this 4 few days to c if it would clear up. After a week or so they cleared upbut  the tip of my penis still red. It changes shades of red but never goes back to normal. Its more red in the shower(I only wash it with warm water, nothing else)&when dry it  seems lighter. The red is on the top side of the penis head. You can c a boundary around the red area meeting normal colored skin. When erect, the red disappears. Ive tried to stop wanking for a few days and it seems like it gets lighter but then I end up starting again and it seems to get more red again. I havent tried to stop masturbating for a month or so to see if it helps.Should I?I undastand dat its often the moisture which causes infections on the penis. I try to leave my penis to dry in the air in the mornings after my shower. When it dries out the penis head seems to get a bit wrinkled/scaly. I went to a doc twice. The first time, the symptoms were very mild, so the doctor said, 'this is normal' and I am being paranoid. But he took a swab test and a urine test. The symptoms dont show so much when I am dehydrated. The urine and swab tests both came up normal so the doctor told me not to worry about it. I went a second time to see another doctor. She said it looked like a yeast infection, which I must agree as I saw one picture of a penis with similar little red dots which mine had initially and the same sort of redding on the tip on other infected penis pictures. She prescribed canisten which is a cream for vaginal thrush. It seemed 2 help it but it didnt rid me of the infection. Now Im stuck and really want my penis back to normal! It doesnt cause me any symptoms except very rarely itchy penis head or very occasional and very mild but constant burning of the penis head.

Everybody gets yellow mucus with a cold.  It's unrelated.

You have seen at least 2 doctors who cannot come up with a clear answer that satisfies you and told you not to worry about it.  In that circumstance, no distant expert can tell you what is wrong.  I'll just say that no STD can cause the things you describe. I would have thought you are just examining yourself too closely and noticing natural variations in color that are not abnormal.  However, if one doc thought you might have yeast infection, perhaps that's a possiblity. On the other hand, if you had yeast, the canestin would have cleared it up.

My bet is still on everything being normal.  Whatever is going on, it isn't an STD and nohing else that will ever harm your health or that of a sex partner.

Best wishes--  HHH, MD
