Risk Exposure, please doctor respond

I had a potential risky exposure on April 2, this year... I am 38 female, under the influence of alcohol might have had unprotected anal sex with white male. The reason I say might, is because I have no memory of the events. The only thing I have is the next day I had a pain and discomfort in my rectum as it something was introduced inside. Also next morning, I had fresh blood when I wiped my butt. In the event of anal penetration taking place, it could have been only an attempt since physically I believe total penetration could not happened since I have never done this in the past and it would have caused more severe damage to my rectal area. Man is uknown to me and unknow HIV status. He did say he was married and had kids. I have genital herpes but dont think had active sores at the time. Since then I have been on agony, trouble slepping, eating, have been nauses, swollen limph nodes, possibly low grade fever( but cant say for sure), constant diarrea for almost 2 months now. and have had two herpes outbreaks due to anxiety and white tongue and what I beleive is oraI thrush. I have tested DNA PCR with antibody test at 4 weeks negative and DNA PCR with antibody test at 8 weeks negative.
Today, called the center to schedule and antibody test at my 85 days=12 weeks mark .which would be June 26th. They told me that I have to wait to test until july 2nd, 3rd month and that I only need a antibody test for HIV - 2. Since my DNA PCR at 8 weeks is only good for HIV -1.
As you can see I am a mess, I am still have diarrea every other day and have white tongue, cant eat because I am nervous and I have lost 8 to 9 pounds.  I know HIV can not be diagnose with symptoms and I possibly engaged in a very risky encounter. Please doctor, give me your experienced opinion on my case and your advice on when and what type of test to take. Does an antibody test pick up both HIV type 1 and 2 or for type 2 it needs to specifically be ordered???

Thanks very much for your time.

Please read the important message above.  You have posted on the wrong site.   Questions about HIV belong on the HIV prevention site.  There has been an increase in persons posting on the wrong site which then make this site unavailable to persons with STD questions.  I will briefly answer your question but you must repost on the HIV site if you want additional personalized answers.  Alternatively, there is a high likelyhood that the answer to your question can be found in previous posts on the HIV prevention site by using the search function.  Sorry.

It sounds as though you are concerned because you MAY have had an exposure with a partner who you do not know well.  My sense is that your concerns are strengthened by guilt, perhaps related to the unknowns involved with this experience.  From what you say, he sounds as though he is a low risk partner.  In addition, you need to work through the guilt part of this and focus on the fact that at this time there is nothing to suggest that you have HIV or STD and much to indicate that you do not.

For starters, not only do you not know whether you had sex or not but at this time you have negative HIV tests which indicate that you are not infected.  At 8 weeks with both a negative antibody test and an HIV result which will be negative, You can be sure that you do not have HIV (1 or 2).  No further testing is needed.

As for your symptoms, I cannot and will not make a diagnosis over the net.  Furthermore symptoms are useless for determining risk of early HIV infection. My advice to is see your health care provider and work to get this cleared up. Odds are that you do not have thrush but if you do, Realize that most thrush is not related to HIV.

Hope this helps.  Please stop worrying and take care. Further posts must be on the HIV site.  EWH
