STD from brief encounter?

Hi-

Last night I had an encounter with a CSW. I insisted on wearing a condom for oral sex and of course for intercourse. However, she licked my penis without the condom on for a few seconds. Furthermore, she let me ejaculate in her mouth (though the penis barely entered her mouth).

All in all I would say that my penis came in contact with her mouth for 45 seconds in total. She did not have any sores on her mouth. She also licked my scrotum while I masturbated.

So far I don't feel any symptoms. Should I get tested for anything? Should I be worried? Never again...

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.  I'll try to help.

Congratulations on using a condom for vaginal sex, and for most of the oral contact.  All things considered, this was a virtually zero risk encounter for all STDs.  Oral STDs are primarily carried in the back of the throat; probably there is no measurable risk from contact with saliva or only the tongue or lips.  Herpes due to HSV-1 is an exception, but even for HSV-1 the risk here was extremely low.  In general, HSV transmission probably requires fairly vigorous massage of the virus into the skin and also usually is associated with an overt oral herpes sore.

So if this is your only potentially risky exposure, there is no need for any STD testing.  However, if you have otherwise been sexually active in the past year (outside a ccommitted relationship), testing might be a good idea.  All people outside mutually mongamous relationships should be tested for common STDs from time to time, like once a year.  If this applies to you, may as well do it now, while it's on your mind.  But definitely not because of this particular encounter.

As for "Never again...", I don't see why not.  If this whole experience has just been too nerve-wracking for you, then by all means you should abstain from such exposures in the future.  But this was an entirely safe encounter with little or no disease risk of any kind.

I'm not a doctor, so follow the doctors advice about symptoms and treatment, but I understand the "NEVER AGAIN"  Believe me, you better follow you gut feeling on this one.  All of the stuff that is out there and some of it can effect you for the rest of your life, put you on meds for life, cost you $1,000's and alter you whole life.  if a woman will let you spill your goods in her mouth, how low risk do you think she might be??  My advice, choose your partners very carefully and if it with a pro, you can't be too safe.
