I had a brief oral encounter the other way around 18 days ago and I'm going through rough time. I have already visited my std ward and they took urinal and swap from penis head. I have rash and feel a bit strange like light flue symptoms and my left testicle is hurting a little. They want me to go through full std check including hiv at proper times, so at 6 weeks from exposure I will take full tests and then again at 12 weeks or 16 weeks to include conclusive on herpes.
What is generally considered std that is transmitted through oral sex are: gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, herpes 1 or 2, warts and parasites. Then there can be several other bacterial infections, fungus. Window times vary up to 3 months with hiv and 4 months with the herpes.
I have read on this site and in my personal researching that the likelihood of getting HPV from such an encounter is about nil. A doctor on another site (specialist with credentials) has informed me that the HPV chance from such a single exposure is about nil and I should quit worrying. Do others agree?
