I have acquired a fleshy growth on my anus, bordering the perineum. It doesn't look particularly like a wart, but more a fleshy mound projecting out as if from inflammation. It is the same colou as the skin surrounding. I think it may be a form of hemarrhoid as I have had these internally in the past.
However I fear that it may be connected with my only ( ill-advised, unplanned) extra-marital exposure, with a female CSW some months ago. This exposure was protected. However I think I may have briefly received some oral sex contact to the perineum. Is it possible that I could have contracted HPV on the anus from this type of contact?
I tested twice for HPV using a penile swab and was negative for all types. However I have since been told that this test would not have detected an anal HPV infection. If this is so, is there a test that could detect it.
I have read that the virus is very contagious, even transmitted by hand. Is this really true, or another scare story?
Is is possible to have sexual relations with my partner without passing on the virus, if my infection is on the anus and my partner does not come into direct contact with it during sex?
I am feeling very stressed. I have begin to accept the idea that I probably don't have herpes and now HPV, which I had twice tested negative for, seems to be back on the agenda.
Many thanks for your advice.
