Syphilis and kissing

About 3 months ago I spent 2 weeks with a prostitute. I think she might have had syphilis. This was in Bangladesh. We didn't have sex but we did French kiss several times during the two week period. After the first seven days I got the stomach flu and took 3 grams of azithromiacin over a 4 day period.  And 1 week after I stopped seeing her I started taking 100mg of doxy one a day to prevent malaria. I had a 4 or 5 day window were she could have still infected me. Is it possible I could have contracted syphilis from her? What would the chance of me catching it from her be? Any thoughts would help. I was tested today but the doctor said it will take 7 days for the results. Thanks again.

Advice on what? What are you looking for I think everything I said should help you out to see that you did not have a syphilis risk. But if you are this worried then test for it 6 weeks after exposure.

Ok. I didn't know that. Do you have any insight on the antibiotics I took?

Still is not a risk...you have to come into direct contact with a syphilis sore and if the rash was syphilis then there was no sore to come into contact with.

I slet naked with her every night. We just didn't do anything sexual in nature. I just needed somone to keep me company.

Ok, lets say that the rash was stage 2 of syphilis for arguments sake...then by kissing you had no risk. You have to come into contact with the syphilis sore to get it transfered and it is gone by stage 2.

Between 20 to 40% of hotel prostitutes have syphilis and she had a weird rash all over her body. It looks like they used to be sores. I'm not looking for numbers. I'm just looking for an educated answer on what the chances are. I'm not trying make you upset. I'm glad you are trying to help me.  I'm still looking for insight.

Haha. Oops. I put the wrong name. My head is obviously not in the right state of mind.

How are you almost positive she has syphilis?
Your head is working over time and leading you down the wrong path. What do you want a number like 1 in 10 or something like that? If you are we can't give you that number.

Thanks. I know it's possible. I would like somone to tell me what my chances are with my situation. I'm almost positive the girl had syphilis. I just want to either put my fears to rest or have knowledge of my chances of catching it.

You aren't going to get syphilis just from kissing someone.
