Risk of unprotected oral

From all of your posts, I think the following is low risk but I'm not sure. I was getting a hand job from a massage girl. I said I didn't want oral but towards the end she licked my shaft 4 or 5 times. She never put my penis head in her mouth but she did lick the shaft. Is there a risk of her passing something (you mention Herpes in other posts) as a result of unprotected tongue to penis shaft contact, even if it was brief?

Thank you.

I would judge that there is no measurable risk of any STD from such exposure.  I would not recommend testing for (or even thinking about) herpes or any other infection.

Good luck--  HHH, MD

I am skeptical.  Hand jobs don't transmit herpes to the genitals and "licking the shaft" is an unlikely source as well.  Anyway, it doesn't matter.  Even if rare happens to one person, it doesn't make it any less rare for the next person with such an exposure. (Nobody's chance of getting hit by lightning goes up when someone else is hit, assuming they aren't under the same tree.)

Dr. HHH,
Thanks again. Do you think the above post is valid? I appreciate your feedback. I'll let it go.

My husband claims to have had exactly the same experience that you describe, except that it was in the states. The outcome was that we both now have HSV 1..........

The additional information does not change my opinion.  You're fine.  Let it go.

Thanks for the feedback. This happened in Thailand where I know the risk of STDs is high... which is why I didn't want unprotected oral. Does that change anything or is the risk of transmission from tongue to shaft just too slight? If she had a sore or something, could that pass along? I'm trying not to stress but based upon the location, it is nerve wracking...
