gonnorhea

I had gonnorhea once before and it was painful, is it possible to catch it again and not show the same symptoms.  Would the symptoms be the same?  Is it possible to have symptoms show up a month after the a unprotected incident.  What are the chances of you not having gonnorhea if you tested negative for chlamydia.

Tommy's case is irrelevant; he had no symptoms and his experience has no bearing whatsoever on orallyfixed's anxiety-driven concerns.  This thread is over.  If you want to continue, take your discussion over to the STD support forum.  I will any further comments here.

How long were you diagnosed before you knew you had gonnorhea.  Did you have pain when you pissed? It's been more than a month since I had the unprotected incident and I have been tested since and results were negative.  But I feel like I have something.

Thank you for the clarification Dr.  I have always gone by the one statement I saw that you wrote that said "in other words, if you dont have a pus like drip from your penis 2-5 days after the event, you can be sure you do not have gonorrhea."  Just wanted to make sure this holds true.

Yes about the straws.  Asymptomatic urethral gonorrhea occurs in men but is rare.  Probably only 1 in 500-1000 men with gonorrhea don't get symptoms.

I just have a question, and i dont mean to thread jump--but on so many of these posts, you say that you would know it if you had gonorrhea.  but in this one, you say that some people dont get symptoms.  am i picking at straws?

This sounds like a follow-up to your anxiety-driven thread from last July.  Most urethral (penile) gonorrhea causes similar symptoms every time, but sometimes the symptoms are mild and rare cases cause no symptoms at all.  If someone is going to have symptoms, almost always they show up within a week, usually 2-5 days.  The last quuestion makes no sense and I don't understand it.

I will have no further comments.  Note the MedHelp rule about a maximum of 2 questions in a 6 month period.
