two different irritated papules or hpv

thanks for your time. i noticed a few days ago two small red area about the size of a pen tip on the top side a little more than half way up the shaft of my penis. unsure as to what it could be, i checked for others to try and distinguish something. i have had all test done, the most recent being a hsv test 3 months ago. i was positive for hsv 1 which i was aware of (i have had fever blisters since i was a kid), and negative hsv 2. (i have not had unprotected sex in 5 months) i found another spot on the right side a bit further than half way up the shaft that looked as if it were a papule. i proceeded to scratch and pinch it as well trying to figure out what it was(do to being worried). it turned very red and still is obviously red from being irritated. it was not really raised at all, did not look like a wart....when the skin is streched it changes or looks as if it dissappears. the original red area that i mentioned is still there as will not really getting any worse....looks as though it may be fungal? i wear a speedo and spend a lot of time in the pool and the lake as well as i run about 12 miles per week and i have had joke itch before. when the skin is streched as well here, they are not raised, not red, and do not look like warts at all, but of course im not a doc and i dont know what to look for. can papules occur that far up the shaft? could the bump just be a natural part of my body? could it be a small cyst? and as far as the two small red spots....i have no clue. no symptoms of any kind. thanks again for you help and hopefully relief.

As you suggest, this could just be a normal anatomic variant.  Presumably the health care provider who did the jer[es tests examined you; what did s/he say?

The best I can say is to check with a health care provider.  If not confident in your own doctor, visit your local health department STD clinic, or see a dermatologist.

Good luck--  HHH, MD
