is this Herpes?

about a year and 3 months ago i had protected genital sex and unprotected oral sex (receiving) with a girl (one night stand), she had a healing hsv-1 under her lip.

3 weeks later i developed very painful urination, itchy and tingling urethra, swelling of lymph node in my groin area and after few days developed conjunctivitis on left eye, i was treated with antibiotics, my doctor told me it's possibly chlamydia.

After 6 months of the incidence i tested for all STDs except hsv because they don't have that test in the country i'm in, all tests came back negative.

now after a year and 3 months, i'm having very strong itch below my penis head on the fernulum specifically, it started 2 days ago after masturbation with Vaseline it was intense masturbation with strong friction. i usually use vaseline or olive oil for masturbation but the one i used this time was quite different. i also developed very small pumps hard to see unless with powerful light, i can feel crusty feeling or accumulated pimples(bumps) that form like a circle  and scattered ones on the foreskin near the testicles i could say something like a skin rash, i can see these very tiny bumps when take a picture with flash, it's hard to count them, the itchiness gets stronger after washing or friction,or just touching.

i don't have flu symptoms, no clear blisters or large bumps ,  i have some back ache but i don't if it's just because i'm worried.

i can't do hsv test here as i'm in the middle east, std clinics are quite uncommon here.

is the symptoms i had a year ago early symptoms of herpes or just possibly  chlamydia as doctor said
are these symptoms of hsv-1?? ?

It sounds like your partner's possible oral herpes was well on the way to healing, probalby no longer infectious.

This still doesn't sound like herpes -- it is neither typical lesions nor typical prodrome.  Sorry, but we don't examine clinical photos on this forum.  I suggest you see a doctor or clinic for professional diagnosis.  Most genital skin rashes and irritations are not herpes or any STD; most of the conditions that cause rash or dermatitis anywhere on the body sometimes involve the genitals.

You could consider an HSV blood test.  If negative for HSV-1, it would be reassuring, proving you don't have genital HSV-1.  However, half of all adults in the US have positive HSV-1 tests, mostly due to childhood oral infection.  So if you are tested and positive, it won't necessarily mean you have a genital infection.

If you decide to be tested, or if your current penile irritation has been professionally examined, feel free to return with a comment with the result.  Until then, I won't have any further comments or advice.

Thanks Doctor for your quick response.

I 100% agree with the adenovirus, i read about it just now sounds very similar to what i had, plus i didn't have any discharge and the doctor couldn't get it for sometime, and the girl i had sex with developed bad flu just few weeks after as well.

i'm still worried about this herpes because of the healing hsv-1 she had under her lip and the unprotected oral sex i had from her, i believe that is a high risk.

1- i have this itchiness for 2-3 days now and it only started to develop now after a year and 3 months. i read on the internet that some people can have mild hsv-1 symptoms and they wouldn't notice it for years, could i be in that scale

2- could this be Prodrome state of hsv-1?

3- i also uploaded pictures on my profile please have a  look at them, as i'm very hard person to explain symptoms in words.
i pointed a red circle on the area which i have more itchiness on, it feels hard and kind of rough/crusty when i apply oil on penis and gets itchy after.

what's the best thing to do now Doctor??

thanks again

Welcome to the forum.  Thanks for your question.

Your symptoms are not at all suggestive of genital herpes, which does not cause genital itching that persists as yours has done; and doens't cause scattered bumps like you describe.  The timing also is wrong:  herpes symptoms occur only in discrete outbreaks, each one lasting no more than 2 weeks, and occurring no more often than once a month, and with absolutely no symptoms between such outbreaks.  I think you'll agree this is very different than what you are experiencing.

I'm also confident this is no other STD.  The large majority of genital area rashes and itching are not STDs; most of the 100+ causes of dermatitis or rash anywhere on the body can sometimes involve the genital area.

As for your initial infection 3 weeks after the sexual exposure, I'm sure it wasn't herpes and doubt it was chlamydia:  you had a condom protected vaginal exposure, and chlamydia is transmitted rarely if ever by oral sex.  I'm pretty sure you had an adenovirus infection:  adenovirus is a common cold virus that is sometimes transmitted to the penis by oral sex, and often causes conjunctivitis at the same time.  (Search this forum for adenovirus to see other discussions about it.)

So no worries about herpes. If your genital itching etc continues, see a doctor or clinic about it.

I hope this has helped.  Best wishes--  HHH, MD
