WORRY OVER HIGH RISH ENCOUNTER

I have posted the link to my main post because it contains a full explanation
http://www.medhelp.org/posts/STDs/STI-Worries/show/1032543?personal_page_id=708150&post_id=post_4797289
Could the discharge be urine leakage due from stress. Or is it a mild STD symptoms.
2. Will any of the tests have been affected by the antibiotics I took.
3. I am concern about all std's, the soreness on the tip of my penis is really worrying me. could it be herpes 2, I see on the net the initial symptoms can be like small cuts.
4 .I have a cold sore started today, which maybe smoking related, I have had this a few times but usually appear as a canker sore, could this be HSV 2 from the oral sex.
5. what are the real risks ie HIV, HSV & HPV with all other STD's and could the soreness on my penis be a symptom of another STD.
6. Are genital warts/HPV a risk from this encounter either orally or genitally.
7. would the meds kill an std  even if the incubation periods for some stds are longer than the elapsed time.
8. Does herpes emerge at the point of infection or can it emerge anywhere, ie the slightly slipped condom can i expect th soreness at the tip of my penis to be a possible symptom or is it more likely to show on the possible expoesed area.

Thank you in advance for your advise

The injection probably was ceftriaxone, the drug of choice for gonorrhea.  Azithromycin covers chlamydia and nongonococcal urethritis.  Both effectively prevent syphilis.  The cipro and erythromycin were superfluous overkill; they do nothing that the other two didn't take care of.  You didn't need any treatment at all after such an exposure, but no harm done -- and it assures there is no chance you have any bacterial STD.

I can't say anything about the "cuts", but a good bet is a superficial yeast infection triggered by overuse of antibiotics. I doubt herpes, based both on your description and the overall low risk in this situation.  But if the problem persists, return to your doc for reevaluation, or consider seeing a dermatologist about it.

This situation isn't worth the amount of stress you express. Just move on.  All is well.

Thank you for your assessment.

Btw I was given an intermusular injection although not sure the HCP really was familiar with std because she had to phone the phamacy to ask what to give. followed by 5 days zithromax. one day i took 500 mg of Ciprofaxacin. Then followed by 14 days 500 mg of Eythromycin 4 times a day. I rattle like a pill bottle.

the Health care provider gave me a milt antibiotic cream for the cuts and i know I have agrevated the situation by my handle of the area.

thanks again and through all of this stress I just want to add your forum has been very very helpful

OK, thanks for compressing the key information.  I appreciate it.

You had protected sex.  The expiration date for condoms is conservative, and in any case it is intended for attention before use; if beyond the date, there is an increased chance of rupture. But if there was no obvious breakage of the condom, then protection was complete.  There is no such thing as microscopic leaks that allow HIV or STD pathogens to penetrate latex, regardless of expiration date.  So the vaginal sex was entirely protected.  And cunnilingus is zero risk for all practical purposes; to my knowledge, HIV transmission by cunnilingus has never been known to happen.

You don't say what "STD antibotics" you took.  I see no need for them, and in any case if you took the correct drugs, 23 days treatment is more than enough.

1) There isn't enough description of the "discharge" for me to answer this.  But if it is watery like urine, that's probably what it is.  No STD causes urine leakage.  Whether it's due to stress or not I can't say.

2) All tests for bacterial STD will be affected by the antibiotics.  This also depends on which specific drugs you took, but most likely there is no point now in testing for gonorrhea, chlamydia, or syphilis.

3) I cannot judge what the "cuts" might be, but this doesn't sound like herpes.  Have you seen a health care provider?  If not, that's the obvious next step.

4) Oral herpes due to HSV-2 is rare, but it could happen.  However, if you have had cold sores in the past and this is a typical recurrence, then most likely it's just the same old HSV-1 infection.

5) Essentially no risk for any infection from the condom-protected vaginal sex.  Cunnilingus is very low risk for all STDs, although perhaps not as low as for HIV.  In any case, most likely the antibiotics aborted or cured any infection to which you might have been exposed.

7) Incubation period is irrelelvant to the effectiveness of antibiotics.  In other words, you don't have to have symptoms for antibiotics to be effective; if an STD bug was present, and if it was susceptible to the antibiotic, then it would have been eradicated.

You have symptoms that should be evaluated professionally.  If you have not seen a physician or clinic, that's your next step.  Whatever if found, based on your description of the exposures, your symptoms, and the antibiotic treatment, I don't expect any STDs to turn up.

Best wishes--  HHH, MD

sorry

25 days ago I had a risky sex with 2 CSW in Dubai. CSW 1: protected penetration 3-4 mins, 1 min oral on me protected, small exposed area 1 inch of base penis: CSW 2 Protected penetration 4-5 mins and I performed a 3-4 mins of cunnilingus. New condoms each CSW. But almost 2year expired.95% both intact, I have been examining myself constantly day 1 in developed a rash from caneston use which went after a few days. But 2 times now I had a sore urethra opening and its back. Seems theres 2 little paper cuts. Day1 needle feeling 1 inch into urethra mild intermitent
Meds: std antibiotics from day 1-23.
