hey DOC

hey doctor. i have been tested by ORAQUICK on 8.1 week, 7th week, 4th week, 2nd week after the incident and all came negative all of it were done by drawing the blood . I have had my left tonsil swallen, i had some kind of sore throat, my foot on left leg where the thumb is like twitches or move when im relaxing by itself, i had muscle twitching and all of it kind of stop but i can still feel it does, never had fever since the encounter, never had headache, i do not know if my lymph nodes are swallen since i do not know how to check.. and i bet most of the people on this site do not know how to check only they profesional can know that. and my right ear aches since the tonsil were swallen... it was prety bad when ever i open my jaw wide open i feel the pain on the right side corner of the jaw below the ear and inside of the ear....but now my jaw does not hurt..but i still feel pain inside my ear. i had some kind of muscle burning like on the knee or elbow but for few second.i have also had lil pain in my tip of finger but for few seconds thn it was gone .and after the encounter..on my right leg just above the leg ..i feel kind of vain popping like if you touch it you can feel it.that it is poping...i know i sound strange. after the 8.1 weeks test i had lose stool only once...i had my std test. and she looked at underneath my tongue...didnt see n e thing...i think i have thrush..but when ever i wake up in the morning it is there..but after i eat it is gone and soemtimes.
so question is that im still serconverting?
my HIV negative test are 100% reliable?
should i need to take more test?
is it cuased by anxiety and stress..cuz ill be honest to you..feel like world has stop ..do not feel like doing n e thing..but im gradually getting to do stuff and hanging out with my friend and i am constantly thinking of this..so i need your opinion..Thanks A Lot DOC HHH..and yea..i live upstate ny and the girl was tested she said she came out negative and she has had only one unprotected sex partner it was long term..thanks

It is very rare for someone to develop measurable HIV antibodies later than 8 weeks; your exposure apparently was heterosexual, which is very low risk even if your partner had HIV; and she has told you she is not infected.  Further your symptoms are not typical for HIV, and anyway symptoms never are as reliable as HIV testing itself.  So the odds you have HIV are exceedingly low, probably zero.  To put this into perspective, the chance you have HIV is less than the risk of dying in an accident or of some other (non-HIV) illness in the next week.  Finally, as I have said many times, when a person suggests his or her own symptoms are due to anxiety or stress, s/he probably is right most of the time.

Bottom line, relax.  If you need still further reassurance, have another HIV test 3 months after the exposure.  It will be negative.

Good luck--  HHH, MD
