Worried about STDs

Hi Doctor,

Sorry to trouble you and my poor english

I’ve ruled out the possibilities of HIV infection based on the replied from Dr.Joes.
Hence, I have moved my focus to others STD like Herpes because I would most probably to get infected by herpes due to my recent symptoms and the exposure which was 36 days ago. Below is the link for I posted in HIV infection regarding my exposure.
http://www.medhelp.org/posts/HIV---International/Need-advice-for-my-situation/show/1585542
32 days after exposure: I have found few small bumps. One on my stomach and another one developed on thigh. I also found a lump about 1cm x 1cm on the same day and the size had reduced to 3mm x 3mm as today. The lump is tender and not really painful.
35 days after exposure: I found a bump on my penis shaft. The bumps come with pus and I poked it and the little pus flew out and now getting smaller. The bump is only a little bit pain.
I also noticed I have frequent urination and a little bit penis head burning sensation when urinating these few days and it is actually on and off. However, yesterday I have a protected sex with my wife which is 35 days after exposure I ejaculated and the penis head is burning and a little bit pain and persist until morning. It is not really painful but I still can feel it.

I understand your question.  No STD causes the kinds of sympoms you describe.  Herpes does not result in "bumps" in the locations you mention, and herpes symptoms do not start more than a month after catching the virus; lesions of new herpes infections usually start within 5 days and never later than 20 days.  If your symptoms continue, visit a doctor or clinic for diagnosis and possible treatment.  But you can be certain they are not caused by herpes or any other STD from the sexual exposure you are worried about.

That will be all for this discussion.  I won't have any more comments or advice.  Please do your best to accept the reassurance you have had.  You really should not be worried about any STD from your extramarital sexual event.

I agree with the replies you had from Dr. Gonzalez-Garcia.  We recommend that MedHelp users not ask the same questions in both this and the international forum.  The answers never are different.

1) The exposure described was risk-free.  You could not have acquired any STD.

2) All STD pathogens are instantaneously killed on exposure to soapy water.

3) I don't understand what you are asking, but you did not have symptoms of herpes or any other STD.  It was not possible to acquire any STD from the exposure described.

4) See above.  The "bump" could not have been herpes from the exposure described.

5) STDs are not transmitted by fingering or hand-genital contact.

6) It doesn't matter whether or not the massage worker had any STD. Even if she did, you did not have an exposure that could have resulted in STD transmission.

7) By objective analysis, no testing is necessary.  However, it is obvious you are obsessed with this exposure and the possibility of catching an STD.  Perhaps you should be tested for the psychological reassurance you will gain from a negative test.  It's your choice.

There is no difference in the reliability of these tests.  Your results are definitive, once and for all.  That will be all for this thread.

Thanks Doctor,

I had put everything aside and moved on my life after seeing your reply.

I was overreact to my symptoms due to anxiety and the also internet information is very ambiguous. That's the reason I'm very confused. I slept very well and sweet yesterday.

Now all the symptoms like gone by itself.

Thanks again doctor and best forum I ever seen.

Best Wishes,

This is the first time to have sex out of my marriage. That's the reason I'm so anxiety
and worried. I can be sentences by any STDs but I don't want to ruin my beloved wife.

For the question 3 I asked. I would like to know that are all STD symptoms is non-specific? Or it could be occured in different timeframe. Example,
Day 10 : Flu
Day 16 : bumps developed.
Day 20 : Muscle Aches.

Hope doctor can understand.

Below is my questions

Doctor, hope you can answer my following questions.
1) Based on the exposure I had described in the link given. Do I have opportunity to get affected by any STDs?
2) The soap and warm water used by masseur can kill majority of the STD virus when she is rubbing my body with vagina?
3) The symptom of Herpes or others STD is happened simultaneously or it could be one after one?
4) The bump of herpes is widespread? If I have only one bump on my penis shaft can I ruled out from possible herpes symptom?
5) Fingering with scrape which was not bleeding can allow STDs to transmit?
6) If the masseur body doesn’t have any bumps and clean. Could I conclude she might not have any STDs?
7)  Do I need to test for STDs?

Thanks in advance
